The Silent 535

    535.Chapter 535

The little giant mummed, "Ordinary bugs?

Trembling, the little giant curled up inside the cage

Even after hearing Eliza''s words, he continued clutching his head, trembling and murking, “I dont like them, I don''t se buge So many bugs biting, it hurts, it hurts so much, I don''t like it!

It wasn''t just his body, the more he spoke, the more his voice quivered. His fear of bugs hadpletely taken over his heart

Despite his massive, intimidating appearance, he was terrified of these tiny insects

Eliza watched the deep fear in the little giant''s eyes, but she didn''t find it endearing-she cidit help but furrow her brow

He was enormous, yet mentally fragile.

If he encountered kind hearted people, he''d be cherished.

But if he fell into the hands of those with ill intentions, he''d be easily manipted, used until nothing was left

And some people didn''t just want to use him, they wanted a puppet they could control, using methods that almost crossed every moral boundary.

Eliza suspected that this towering figure was exactly such a puppet.

So, after she put the insects away, she checked the little giant''s body through the bars of the cage.

While inspecting, she asked, "Is your name Rudie? Who gave you that name?" Rudie''s body showed no obvious wounds, just small scars that seemed to have been caused by insect bites.

There was also arge, brown scar on his face.

It looked like a birthmark, but something about it didn''t quite match the usual appearance of a birthmark.

From outside the cage, Eliza couldn''t make out the details clearly,

She could only make a quick judgment that, for now, it didn''t seem to pose any immediate threat.

Once the bugs were no longer around, the little giant''s panic slowly subsided, though he didn''t immediatelysh out.

Eliza had burned a potent calming incense on the second floor.

So, after Rudie calmed down, he quietly stayed in the cage, no longer struggling to escape like before.

"Rudie, I am Rudie..." Rudie nodded hisrge head, his curious eyes following Eliza''s movements outside the cage. "You..."

Even though Rudie only said one word, Eliza understood what he meant. She smiled and replied, "I''m called... Serenity. You can call me Serenity,"

She didn''t introduce her real name.

After all, though this situation had dyed her, she still intended to go through with her name-changing ceremony once she returned.

From now on, she wouldn''t carry the "Stonor" name, so there was no need to introduce it anymore.

"Serenity?" Rudie tilted hisrge head in confusion, as if not understanding the meaning of the word.

"It means ''free from worry," Eliza exined. "Serenity means having no worries. I''m not sure if you understand that, but don''t worry, I can teach youter."

Eliza didn''t know why, but she felt unusually patient with Rudie.

After all, not long ago, she and Tina had almost been killed by Rudie''s massive

    axe.

But now, standing in front of him, felt a surprising calmness.

    Was it sympathy?

Rudie said, "Teach... teach me words... I want to learn..."

Rudie suddenly brightened, and in no time, he forgot all about being frightened by the bugs Eliza had used.

His big, round eyes stared at Eliza, sparkling with joy, as he said, "Rudie like."

Hearing this, Eliza turned around, grabbed a pic of paner

    "This is ''Serenity."

Hot Serenity," and handed it to him inside the cage.

    Sessfully unlocked!

Rudie extended hisrge hand, his thick fingers carefully holding the paper. He leaned in close, staring at the writing intently for a while before suddenly bing excited. "Nice, Serenity nice."

His words sounded like apliment to her.

    535.Chapter 535

But Eliza knew he was referring to the word "Serenity." It seemed he truly enjoyed learning how to read.

Eliza watched him, stroking her chin thoughtfully.

She wanted to take this giant back to Hasen City.

After all, no one would know that she had hidden Rudie away.

One was easy to take; two wouldn''t be a problem either. So what was the harm in taking one more?

With that thought, Eliza made up her mind without hesitation.

But even so, she still asked Rudie, "I''ll take you to Hasen City, where we''ll have good food and fun. I''ll teach you to read and write. How does that sound?"

    "Good," Rudie replied.

The mentally limited giant was easily convinced by her words.

    Eliza''s mood lifted instantly.

Once he agreed, he was hers.

"You stay here for a few days," she continued. "You still have parasites inside you

from those people who controlled you, so

I can''t let you out yet. Otherwise, you''d be controlled again."

    Luckily, Rudie understood this exnation.

"Stay here, not go out," Rudie said, shaking his head vigorously.

He covered his head with hisrge hands. "There are things, bugs, here, it hurts."

Those people had put parasites in Rudie''s head?

    Eliza''s anger red.

She had suspected they''d put a parasite inside Rudie, but she hadn''t expected it to be in his head.

Clearly, their n was to control Rudie with the parasite and then kill him if he ever broke free. The head was the easiest ce to kill him.

    Eliza''s face darkened.

After taking a deep breath, her thoughts turned to Korneel, her heart now filled with murderous intent.
