529.Chapter 529
"Where are they? What''s taking so long? Hurry up and open the door!"
Hearing the noise, Eliza paused in her steps, waiting for a moment. When the knocking persisted, the people outside clearly weren''t going to stop until the door opened.
The ruckus made Eliza furrow her brows slightly.
She exchanged a nce with Luke.
Luke immediately understood and stepped forward. As he opened the door, one
of the men outside suddenly kicked it open, trying to barge in.
Naturally, as the squad leader of ck g soldiers, he wasn''t about to let himself be kicked down so easily.
He sidestepped, and the man who attempted the kick ended up missing and tripping inside.
He fell hard, nding in a heap.
"Who the hell is this, hiding and dodging?" The man cursed as he scrambled to his feet.
"Alright, get out of the way. With that ugly face of yours, don''t scare Cara," another voice called out. "Isn''t that right, Cara?"
After the man on the floor had stumbled away, another figure entered-a man carrying a folding fan, despite the cold, exuding an air of nonchnce.
The man lifted his head and immediately froze when he saw Eliza. His eyes widened, his mouth agape. "Who is this little beauty?"
His voice was filled with disbelief. "The grace, the face, the figure-this is like a celestial being descended to earth!" Chaim McPherson''s eyes lit up as he stared at Eliza, grinning widely. "Little beauty, where did youe from? I don''t recall seeing you around Vollult Town before. You must be from out of town, huh? Well, never mind that. You only need to know who I am."
Just as Chaim was about to introduce himself, Luke stepped forward, his solid frame blocking Eliza and also cutting off Chaim''s gaze.
"Who the hell do you think you are, blocking me? If you don''t want to die, get out of my way," Chaim growled, looking at Luke.
Luke coldly met his gaze. "If you don''t want to die, move. If you dare to keep eyeing ourdy, I''ll gouge your eyes out." The deadly intent in Luke''s eyes made Chaim flinch.
He instinctively took a step back but quickly grew embarrassed.
Scowling at Luke, he turned to Eliza, who stood behind him, and sneered, "Little beauty, tell your servant to get out of the way. I''m in a good mood today and don''t feel like causing trouble, but if he keeps blocking me, don''t me me for being rude."
However, Elizapletely ignored him. Calmly, she exchanged her coffee for another cup, without sparing him a nce. Enraged by Eliza''s disregard, Chaim''s anger boiled over. Hisckey immediately yelled at the two of them, "You two have no idea who he is, do you? Let me tell you, it''ll scare you to death!"
Eliza couldn''t help but chuckle. "Oh? Then go ahead, I''m curious to see if he really can scare us."
Both Chaim and hisckey froze for a moment as they saw Eliza smile.
They''d lived over twenty years, but never had they seen such breathtaking beauty.
Chaim, still dazed, hadn''t processed what had just happened. All he knew was that Eliza was absolutely stunning. He hade to the Healing Hall today looking for Cara, but unexpectedly found such a rare gem.
"I can''t let this little beauty slip away," Chaim thought to himself.
But Odin, theckey, suddenly realized something wasn''t right.
This small town had never seen such beauty before. She was fair and delicate- only wealthy noble families could raine someone so exquisite.
With that realization, Odin quickly tugged on Chaim''s sleeve. "Mr. McPherson, something feels off..."
But Chaim, lost in his admiration, barely noticed him and snapped, “Shut up, Odin! What''s ''off''? Stop talking nonsense and go get the others. I want this little beauty for myself
elf today!lly unlocked!
Eliza''s eyes narrowed coldly.
Just as she was about to do something, a figure suddenly shot out of the room, like a cannonball, and kicked Chaim hard. "Bastard! You dare to bring people to my house and cause trouble? Do you believe I''ll beat the shit out of you today?" 529.Chapter 529
Cara''s kick sent Chaim flying, and he mmed into the ground with a thud. "Ouch... my backside."
"Mr. McPherson, are you alright?"
Odin quickly helped Chaim up and said, "Mr. McPherson, there are a lot of people here today. How about we call it quits ande back another day?"
He was hoping to quickly de-escte the situation.
But Chaim, having been humiliated, was too angry to listen. He cursed, "Get out
of the way, you useless mutt! I''m not leaving without taking you two with me!"
He yelled, "Come here!"
