Chapter 539

Faith nced at her and let out a soft chuckle after a moment. It seemed

indifferent on the surface, but beneath it, there was an unmistakable hint of

    sorrow.

L realized she had guessed correctly. "Sorry," she said as she hadn''t intended

to pour salt on her wound.

Faith smiled again, a little wry this time. "Moses seems harmless, but he''s heavily

influenced by Dennis. You''re better off staying away from him."

"Thanks, I''ll keep that in mind."

Neither of them said anything after that. After a brief silence, L gave her a small

nod, said goodbye, and walked away.

    ...

After a few more busy days on set, L sent Amelia a message. They hadn''t seen

each other in over ten days—not since that morning when L overheard her

talking to Vince. Amelia had messaged her saying she had to leave for something.

L knew she couldn''t interfere in Amelia''s love life, but she still wanted to make

sure she was okay. Amelia''s response came quickly. "I''lle see you in a couple

    of days."

L let out a breath of relief and went back to work.

    ...

When L finally saw Amelia again, there was a young man with her. Amelia

walked over with a spring in her step, looking pleased with herself. L nced up

at them, momentarily unsure how she felt about the sight.

It was the young man''s first time here, and his eyes were full of curiosity. But

instead of letting his eyes wander, he simply followed quietly behind Amelia.

"Say hello—this is L," Amelia prompted. The young man greeted L politely,

and thetter responded just as courteously.

Matthew noticed her arrival and immediately handed her a gift he had prepared in

    advance. "I apologize aboutst time."

Amelia barely remembered what he was referring to. She touched her chin and

was about to decline, but before she could say anything, Matthew had already

    turned and walked away.

The young man beside her nced at Amelia, then at Matthew''s retreating figure,

    but didn''t say a word.

"Go over there and grab me two bottles of water." Amelia gestured toward the

    refreshment table on set.

As soon as the young man walked off, L asked, "Okay, what''s going on here?"

"I found myself a younger guy. Isn''t he handsome? He''s super obedient and

    innocent too."

L frowned slightly, at a loss for

    words after noticing Amelia''s

    obvious excitement. That night,

    Amelia and her youngpanion

stayed in the room next to hers. She

wanted to talk some sense into

Amelia, maybe get her to think

things through, but before she could,

    the door had already shut.

Meanwhile, as soon as they stepped in, Amelia pushed the young man against

the wall and ran her hand over his torso. "What can you do?" she asked with a

    cheeky smile.

The young man lowered his head, pressing his forehead against hers, and said in

a low, husky voice, "Anything you want me to."

    Amelia chuckled. "How obedient,

    unlike Vince, who was always

nagging...," she thought. He had told

her to not eat cold food during her

period, not stay out toote, and to

    wear moreyers when she went

    out... like some overbearing

    housewife. How boring.

But then, she caught herself. Why

was she thinking about Vince at a

time like this? shaking the thought

away, she grabbed the young man

by the cor and pulled him down

into a kiss. Then, she led him into

the bedroom, pushing him onto the

    bed.

The young man''s heart pounded as he looked up at the bright, seductive smile on

her face. He had never met a woman this beautiful and bold before.

"Help me take off my clothes," she ordered. He reached for the buttons, but his

hands trembled so much that he couldn''t undo a single one.

Watching his shaking hands, she froze for a split second and thought about the

night she had spent with Vince, the way her dress had been ripped apart in the

    heat of the moment.

Her brows knitted together, and she raised her hand to massage her temples and

clear her head. Then, she caught his hands in hers. "Is this your first time?"

He nodded. Amelia took a deep breath and sat on the edge of the bed. "Go

    home."

"Did I do something wrong?" he inquired.

"No, I''m just not in the right mood tonight. You should leave," she said quietly.
