Kieran sent a message to Cole. "Find out who leaked Madam''s room number


    today and have the hotel management handle it."


    Then, he took L and switched to a new room.


    The next morning, the hotel manager personally sent over breakfast and


    apologized. L simply nodded in response to the apology without saying much.


    After all, it was a serious oversight for the hotel to casually disclose a guest''s


    room number.


    Once they left, L poked Kieran. "The Moores will probably look for you again."


    Kieran grabbed her restless finger and gently reminded her, "It''s fine if they look


    for me. But if they look for you, remember to never get into any conflict with them,


    and never meet them alone."


    After saying this, he thought to himself that it would be best to arrange for two


    bodyguards to protect her for the time being.


    After breakfast, L returned to the film set, and Kieran headed to thepany.


    When she arrived, she saw Jamie having breakfast with Michael and Matthew.


    Jamie was slowly slurping on a spoonful of oatmeal, looking rather absent-

    It hadn''t been that long since L hadst seen her, but Jamie seemed to have


    lost weight.


    Matthew noticed that something was off and handed her a piece of toast. "Eat


    more, Jamie."


    She took it with a nod, but when she saw L, she put it down and stood up. "Ms.


    Hart."


    With a mouth full of toast, Matthew mumbled, "Why are you sote today? Jamie


    has been waiting for you for half an hour."


    L walked over and patted Jamie''s head. "Eat first. We''ll talk after."


    However, it was clear that Jamie didn''t want to wait. L pressed her lips together,


    feeling somewhat uneasy. Had something happened?


    She picked up the bowl of oatmeal and toast and said, "Let''s go over there."


    Once it was just the two of them, L asked, "What''s wrong?"

    had originally nned to visit her


    when she had some free time, but


    she had been constantly busy.


    "Is someone in the crew bullying you?"


    Jamie shook her head. "My mom told me a while ago that she''sing back next


    month."


    "You two haven''t seen each other in a long time, right? Aren''t you happy she''s


    L found it odd. Jamie had grown


    up with her mother overseas.


    Though quiet, she had a sweet and


    innocent personality, clearly having


    been doted on while growing up.


    Shouldn''t she be happy that her mother wasing to visit? Had she


    misunderstood something?


    "Of course, I''m happy to see her." Jamie frowned. "But she''s noting back just


    to see me. She''s alsoing back for my marriage."


    L chuckled. "She''s pushing you to get married? You''re still so young; there''s no


    rush."


    Jamie bit her spoon, hesitating over how to phrase her next words.


    After a moment, she put down the things in her hands, her expression turning


    serious. "Ms. Hart, when I was little, my parents arranged a marriage for me."


    L almost choked. "An arranged marriage? When you were a child?"


    "Yes."


    "But nowadays, people don''t really


    follow arranged marriages


    anymore." L thought for a moment


    before adding, "Besides, the


    marriage was set when you were


    kids. Your personalities may not


    even bepatible now. When Ist


    saw Vince, he never mentioned


    anything about your arranged


    marriage."


    "My brother doesn''t really know about it. When my mom and I moved overseas,


    the boy that I was arranged to marry also moved abroad."


    "You mean you grew up together?"


    L was surprised. Jamie had never mentioned having a childhood sweetheart


    before.
