Andy clenched his teeth. He was used to being praised, but now, his dignity was
being trampled on. His heart burned with hatred toward Faith and L.
Landon, who hade to call everyone for dinner, immediately sensed that the
atmosphere was off as soon as he arrived.
He stood behind Amelia and asked in a soft voice, "What happened? Do these
two people want to hang out together?"
Amelia rolled her eyes at him. "Does it look like we can hang out together?"
"I got it." Landon nodded. He seemed reliable. He pointed at Andy, thinking that
thetter looked like a troublemaker. Among wealthy people, no one liked a
person like Andy.
"You''re in a resort owned by the West family. Get out of here now!"
As soon as Landon finished speaking, the group of troublemaking friends Andy
had arranged to meet, who had been waiting for him but never saw him show up,
happened toe looking for him.
They were all from Northridge, so naturally, they recognized Landon and Kieran
standing next to him. Not a single one of them could afford to offend either of
them.
They nced at Andy. Without saying a word, they greeted Kieran and the others
politely. Meanwhile, Andy''s face turned pale.
Andy struggled to say, "Mr. Morgan, both of our families are partners. I don''t think
it''s right for you to embarrass me."
Upon hearing that, Faith had the urge to roll her eyes. How could Andy talk about
what was right for Kieran?
As expected, Kieran chuckled. "I can give up on the partnership with the Moore
family."
"Do you not care about the penalty for breach of contract?" Andy had a huge
reaction.
Kieran only nced at him indifferently. "I dare to pay the penalty for breach of
contract, but does the Moore family dare to ept it?"
Then, he wrapped his arm around L''s shoulders. "Are you hungry? Shall we go
and eat?"
L nced at Andy, who wore a dark expression. She found him annoying and
hateful. She wasn''t interested in watching him argue, so she smiled at Kieran and
nodded. "Let''s go."
She reached out to pull Amelia. Landon didn''t move. He was always full of smiles,
but this time, his gaze turned cold. "Are you going to leave by yourself, or do you
want me to have someone kick you out?"
"How dare you!" Andy wanted to vent his anger, but Kieran wasn''t out of sight yet.
So, he held himself back from cursing.
The troublemaking friends didn''t
dare stay behind, either. They forced
Andy to leave with them. When they
left the resort, they asked, "What
happened? How did you offend the
Morgan family?"
Upon hearing that, Andy gritted his teeth with hatred. "What''s L''s background?"
"She''s Mr. Morgan''s fiancée."
"No, that''s not right. They have already gotten married. She''s Mrs. Morgan now."
Then, they realized that something was off. "Andy, don''t tell me that you like her."
"We advise you not to touch her. There are so many women in this world. There
are beautiful ones and wild ones. We can get any kind of woman for you, but you
can forget about L."
"That''s right. She''s currently protected by Mr. Morgan. We should stay away from
her."
"In the past, the Bolton family offended her and was wiped out. The Locke family
is barely surviving too. We can''t afford to offend the Morgan family."
After hearing all of that, Andy felt
even more frustrated. He decided to
think about how to exin to the
Moore family that Kieran didn''t allow
him to be in charge of the
partnership. As for L, it wasn''t
urgent.
L and the others had finished
eating. Then, they were called to go
to the outdoor party. There were all
kinds of games. L sat below the
stage and listened to the people
singing.
On the other hand, Kieran was dragged away by Landon to y something else.
It was some kind of men''s game.
Someone sat down beside L. L looked up and was a bit surprised to see that
it was Faith, "Ms. Moore."
Faith nodded. "I''m sorry about today."
"It isn''t your fault." L''s tone was indifferent. She withdrew her gaze and
continued to watch the woman on stage singing. She even sang along softly.
Faith knew that L wouldn''t me her.
