Chapter 501

Andy raised an eyebrow, his careless demeanor making the arrogance and disdain in his eyes all too obvious.

To him, the person standing before him wasn''t his sister, just a mere servant.

Faith narrowed her eyes slightly. "Who else did the family send over?"

That one question was enough to set Andy off. "Since when do you get to meddle in my business?"

A useless person like her dared to boss him around?

Faith''s smirk was faint but dripping with mockery. "Oh, I can stay out of it. But do you want me telling the family everything you did abroad?"

This idiot of a brother hadn''t changed one bit even after all these years.

"You''ve only been back a few days and already forgotten what you did overseas?" she asked again.

"Are you threatening me?" Andy snapped-he hadn''t expected this.

The sister who had always obeyed him without question was talking back now.

"Faith, I call you my sister out of courtesy but don''t forget your ce. Do you think your status means anything? You''re just a daughter meant to be married off. Whether you live well or not depends on me. Got that?"

His re darkened. "Hand over the documents and get back to Luxford. Do that, and I''ll pretend this never happened."

Faith let out a coldugh. "I''m the one who secured the Morgan Group deal. If you want it, talk to Mr. Morgan and see if he''ll give you another one."

    "Don''t push your luck!"

Andy growled and swung a hand toward her, but the hit nevernded. His hand cut through nothing but air, momentum nearly making him stumble forward.

His anger red hotter. "Faith, you little="

Before he could finish, his eyes darted to L, who had pulled Faith out of the way just in time.

Andy paused for a second, amusement shing in his eyes. "Hey, you think you can stick your nose in my business? Do you even know who I am?"

L didn''t know who he was, but one look at his features-so simr to Faith''s- told her everything she needed to know.

    Andy. Faith''s younger brother.

Funny. They had just talked about him this morning, and now here he was.

The Moore family sure moved fast. That surprised her for a moment but her tone remained cold. "I don''t care who you are. This is Morgan Group''s property, so don''te here acting crazy." ''

Andy had spent over 20 years running rampant under the Moore family''s name. Everywhere he went, people treated him with polite caution, too afraid to cross him.

So when he heard L''s words, he let out a mockingugh. "And what the hell are you supposed to be? The Moore family isn''t someone you can afford to mess with."

"Shut up!" Faith snapped. "The Morgans aren''t people you can mess with either. She''s Kieran''s wife. I''d think twice before running my mouth if I were you."

She had spelled it out clearly, expecting Andy to finally drop his arrogant attitude.

Instead, his smirk only deepened. He nced between L and Faith, amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Her? She''s Kieran''s woman?" Andy burst intoughter.

"No way, you lost to her? Faith, aren''t you embarrassed? She''s not even that much prettier than you. And you still couldn''t win, even with the Moore family backing you? Damn, that''s pathetic!"

Stillughing, he clutched his stomach. "See? I''ve been telling you for years you''re too uptight. No sex appeal at all! Now do you believe me? You can''t even keep a man. No wonder the family wants to marry you off. You''re such a joke!"

Hisughter filled the space. He was oblivious to the way Faith''s expression had turned ice-cold, her eyes dark with disgust.

Then he turned back to L, his gaze sweeping over her. "Yeah, you''re pretty, but you''ve got no status. Bet you must be amazing in bed, huh? Otherwise, why would Kieran "

Suddenly, L''s p sent his head snapping to the side.

Her voice remained calm. "With a mouth that filthy, did you eat breakfast in the bathroom or something?"

She hadn''t nned on causing trouble. After all, Kieran had already told her that even without the Moore family''s deal, Morgan Group would eventually get back on track.
