L slept soundly through the night, and by the time she woke up, it was alreadyte morning. Keiran was no longer by her side.


    She got up slowly, washed up, changed her clothes, and went downstairs. When she reached the balcony, she noticed that a cat climbing frame had been set up at some point.


    It was about half her height, and Nova was curled up at the top, sleeping. As L approached, the kitten mewed.


    Her heart melted, and she couldn''t resist reaching out to gently rub Nova''s little ears. The kitten moved her head and turned in the other direction, going back to sleep.


    Kieran came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her and petting Nova''s head. The kitten opened her eyes and hissed at him.


    Kieran cocked his brow. "She''s already learning to pick favorites at such a young age. What a little diva."


    Hearing the samement from him as Amelia had said, L couldn''t help butugh. He lowered his head, resting his chin on her shoulder. "L, would you consider moving to Vermilion Estate with me?"


    That was the home he had prepared specifically for them.


    L froze for a moment before nodding. "Sure." It was time to start fresh, somewhere new.


    Moving was easy for her since Kieran took care of everything. Even her clothes were packed and organized ording to her preferences and ced in the walk- in closet at Vermilion Estate.


    Since they were still in mourning for Amelie, they didn''t invite friends over for dinner. However, Amelia dide over, as she was the only one with a more flexible schedule.


    While Kieran was busy with the move, Amelia pulled L into the yard to soak up some sun and pet Nova. "Do you remember when Terry gossiped about Uncle Kieran and Ruby''s history?"


    L set down the freeze-dried cat food in her hands. "I actually asked Kieran about it. He said Ms. Clemence was in love with Noah, but I didn''t ask about what happened seven years ago. It''s all in the past anyway."


    "Does that not bother you?"


    L was about to say that it didn''t, but the look on Amelia''s face made her hesitate.


    Amelia looked at her expectantly, as if she was about to shout, "Hurry up and ask me!"


    L changed her tone. "So, is there a story behind this?"


    Amelia''s face lit up with a bright smile. "I actually went and asked Ruby herself."

    Mostly, though, she just couldn''t stand to see a beautiful woman unhappy. If she were a man, she''d marry L herself.


    Amelia clicked her tongue. "The whole thing with Ruby confessing seven years ago was just a misunderstanding. She did confess, but the confession wasn''t meant for Uncle Kieran.


    "She wrote a love letter, but somehow, the letter ended up in Uncle Kieran''s hands. The hrious part is that she didn''t specify the person she was confessing to in the letter, but she did include a location for the meeting. The idea was that if the person didn''t show up, she''d leave.


    "Uncle Kieran didn''t care about all that. He just tossed the letter in the trash. and what''s even funnier is that Noah ended up finding it."


    L''s jaw dropped, and she was curious about what happened next. Based on Noah''s current behavior, he probably had no idea about any of this. "Then, what happened?"


    Amelia couldn''t suppress herughter as she continued, "Oh, you know Noah. He was curious, so he decided to drive over to the meeting spot in his shy car."


    L grimaced, knowing exactly what would happen next.


    "Ruby spotted him, but he didn''t even get out of his car before driving away. she was so devastated that she left the country for seven years without looking back." Amelia burst intoughter. "I asked Noah about it, and guess what he said?"
