L smiled. "You just focus on the show. By the way, the production team said they''ll have two days off the day after tomorrow. Are you going back to Northridge, or staying here?"


    Without hesitation, Matthew said he''d stay here. L nodded without saying much more and told him to go ahead and get some rest. The show was indeed quite demanding. No wonder the production team had brought in all these strong, energetic guys.

    The next two days, L didn''t go to the crew much. Instead, she spent her time exploring the nearby viges.


    She then went back to Northridge, where Amelia picked her up when shended. When Amelia saw the scabbed-over wound on L''s neck, she reached out and deliberately touched it.


    L, who was ticklish, hastily pulled away and joked, "Do you like the ne? I can give it to you." The mark did resemble an odd kind of ne.


    Amelia chuckled as she started the car. "You sure know how to keep a positive mindset."


    Then, she added, "If you like nes, next time I''ll get you a big shiny diamond. But you should probably take this one off."


    L burst outughing. "I should thank you in advance then."


    "Nova''s at my ce, so I''ll head over there. Are you going to bring her back?"


    "I need to stop by thepany first, and I can''t pick up Nova just yet."


    Amelia nced over at her. "Why not?"


    "I came back for something. I want thepany''s help to find some sponsorships, or if they''re doing charity donations this year, maybe we can use those funds to build a school in Mapleford."


    As soon as her words fell, Amelia muttered, "No wonder."


    "What''s wrong?" L asked, puzzled.


    "Just the other day, I heard my dad mention that Uncle Kieran was nning to donate to build a school or something." Amelia tapped the steering wheel and added, "Everypany does charity donations, but Morgan Group is the best at it. They''ve funded projects for rural schools and donations for children with hearing disabilities and other serious illnesses.


    "But usually, these donations happen at the end of the year. So when my dad mentioned it, I was surprised. I thought it was something they hadn''t finishedst year."


    L bit her lip as she processed this information. It rendered her speechless for a moment.


    Amelia noticed she was quiet and figured they probably hadn''t made up yet. she sighed softly. "This is a good thing. It''s normal for businesses to use their profits to help the country."


    L nodded but still went back to thepany.


    After hearing what she had to say,


    Cedric recalled that Kieran had


    recently been working on


    something. He was a bit puzzled-Kieran had already arranged it and the headquarters


    should release the funds soon, so why was L still looking for sponsors?


    But since she brought it up, he figured there was no reason not to help. Besides, his artist, Matthew, was still with the production team, so it was a good opportunity to promote the show.


    However, after L left, Cedric still reported the matter to Cole. He soon received a response, telling him to just follow L''s lead.

    Once that was settled, L went with Amelia to see Nova. The little kitten had grown so much in the ten days since she''dst seen her, looking almost a size bigger.


    It was hard to tell if Nova was just friendly or if she remembered L, but she walked right up to her and rubbed against her legs without hesitation.


    Amelia clicked her tongue. "I''ve been good to you too, Nova, yet you never act like this with me." Every time she tried to feed Nova, the c?t would either be hiding under the couch of up high on the cab.


    L chuckled, bending down to scoop Nova up into her arms. As soon as she sat


    on the couch, her phone rang.


    When L saw it was Matthew, she quickly answered the phone. she hoped


    nothing had gone wrong after she''d just left. "What''s going on?"


    Matthew sounded like he was in a good mood overheard some gossip from the vigers They said some government people came through this morning, scouting locations for a school. You''re so


    efficient, L!"


    L froze for a moment before exining, "That''s probably from headquarters, Kieran''s doing."


    "Well, whatever the case, this is a good thing. You should rest and take a couple of days off. Don''t worry about me," he responded.
