Chapter 426

L nced at the bartender-Matthew Quincy.

"Here, have one," Liam said, shoving something into his hand.

Matthew looked flustered, staring nkly at L.

As an idol, he probably shouldn''t be eating something like dried meat, right?

Seeing his dazed expression, L couldn''t help but chuckle. "It''s fine. Eating a little once in a while won''t hurt."

After all, he was quite thin.

L hadn''t paid much attention before, but now, seeing him up close, she noticed his features. There was something oddly familiar about them, but she couldn''t figure out whom he resembled.

Once they got into the car, Liam hooked an arm over Matthew''s shoulder. "Listen to me-eat and drink when you should."

"Don''t corrupt him! You''re eating snacks all the time. Aren''t you aware of those posts from your fans telling you to lose weight?" L shot him an exasperated look as she reached into Liam''s suit pocket and emptied it.

Wow! A pack of jerky the size of half a palm, with three slices per pack. He had four packs, plus five or six pieces of candy.

"Your agent hasn''t been keeping an eye on you at all, huh?"

L pped her forehead. It was no wonder Liam had been putting on weight recently.

He shouted dramatically, "Have you no morals? Who steals snacks from someone''s pocket?"

"If you don''t want your agent to find out, keep quiet," L threatened him directly. She then handed another pack of jerky to Matthew. "Go ahead, have some."

The poor guy was terribly thin, though he looked much better than when she first met him. He was probably working on building muscle and gaining weight.

When they arrived at the venue, Liam led Matthew straight to the dressing room, moving around like a seasoned pro.

L wandered around to check out the event''s arrangements. Turning a corner, she unexpectedly came across Kieran and Ruby who were standing face to face.

Ruby, for once, spoke in a displeased tone. "You want me to marry Bryce? You know perfectly well who I like. Why would you even bring up something like this?" Kieran''s voice was devoid of emotion. "It wasn''t my suggestion."

Even her attitude didn''t faze him.

L lowered her gaze, her eyes somber.

"I will only marry someone I love," Ruby said quietly but firmly.

    "Alright."

Hearing Kieran''s straightforward response, L curled her fingers, then turned to leave.

When Liam and Matthew came out from the dressing room, L was waiting in the lounge. Spotting her, they walked over.

    "Don''t be nervous."

Matthew nodded. Having only debuted recently, his limited stage experience made him understandably anxious.

Just as she finished speaking, L caught a glimpse of a familiar figure approaching.

Liam greeted him first. "Hello, Mr. Morgan."

Following his lead, Matthew also bowed slightly. "Hello, Mr. Morgan."

Kieran nced at Matthew, his gaze flickering momentarily.

After they exchanged greetings, the staff called Liam and Matthew to rehearsal.

Noticing Kieran staring at Matthew, L exined, "He''s the bartender I signed earlier. You''ve met him once before."

    But Kieran probably hadn''t paid

attention to Matthew''s face back et

then; it didn''t matter because he

    wouldn''t concern himself with

    people who were irrelevant.

Kieran withdrew his gaze, his expression unreadable. Eventually, his eyes fell on

L''s face. "He looks a bit like Bryce."

Hearing this, L looked toward the stage where Matthew was standing. So, that familiar feeling was because he looked like Bryce.

L paused, examining their facial features carefully. There was indeed

a resemnce. After a moment of

    silence, she replied, "He does

    little."

From the corner of her eye, L caught sight of Ruby standing gracefully in the distance. The words "I wilDonly marry someone I love" echoed in her ears.  fo

She slowly clenched her fists. "Kieran."

L didn''t dare to look at him. Her gaze remained fixed on the stage, her eyes

    dim.

Her voice was hoarse, as if trying to suppress emotions that couldn''t be controlled.

    "Let''s get a divorce."
