Chapter 416

Kieran lifted the nket and sat behind L. He pulled her into his embrace.

L nodded and responded, "Sure." She sounded rxed as she took the initiative to lie in his embrace.

Kieran felt that his heart had melted. He turned off the lights, but his gentle gaze seemed to shine even in the dark.

The next day, Kieran and L informed the rest of the family members and headed out. On the way to Hilltop Heights, L received a message from Amelia. Although it had just been a few days, she felt as though they hadn''t contacted each other for a long time.

"Where are you? Do you want to have a meal together?"

L smiled and replied that she was on the way to Hilltop Heights.

    Amelia answered, "I got it."

L didn''t understand what Amelia meant at first, but she didn''t ask about it. When she got out of the car, to her surprise, she saw Amelia''s car parked at the entrance of Hilltop Heights.

Amelia got out of the car. She had blonde hair and wore a pink puffer jacket. It was such a contrast.

When L was about to greet Amelia, two people got out of the backseat. Jamie held her skirt and ran over. Happily, she wrapped her arms around L''s arm. "Ms. Hart, what have you been doing recently?"

Amelia walked over and hugged L''s other arm. "Let''s grab a meal together when you''re freeter. It''s ourst gathering of the year. I''m still nice to you."

"L is the one who''s being nice." Teddy was practically L''s number one fan. "Your minions are getting bolder now. How dare they disrespect me when I''m the rich one? Later, I''ll only give resources to Jamie. Teddy, you can raise yourself," Amelia said. "Let''s go. Let me take a look at your new house. I''m curious about the Morgan family''s capability."

Lughed because of their words. Her heavy emotions became lighter. Teddy walked over and hugged Amelia''s arm. "Be careful. Should I carry you there?"

"When did you learn stand-upedy? Why are you so great at making jokes?" Jamie raised her eyebrows.

"No, but it''s an essential skill to deal with Amelia."

Amelia whispered, "I think you should coax Uncle Kieran instead."

Teddy turned around and looked at Kieran who was standing to the side. After greeting Kieran, Teddy said smugly, "Of course, he treats me well!"

Everyone looked at Teddy strangely. Why was he so good at sweet talks? L cleared her throat awkwardly. "Stop it. Let''s go in first."

Then, she freed one hand and reached out to Kieran. "Let''s go."

Kieran reached out and held her cold hand with a faint smile.

Hilltop Heights had beenpletely renovated, but due to the winter season, the courtyard looked a bit deste. However, when they stepped into the house, the warmth of the house immediately engulfed them.

Amelia turned around. "The environment is great. There are so many rooms. It isn''t too much to ask for a room, right?"

Upon hearing that, Jamie and Teddy raised their hands and asked, behaving like elementary school kids, "It isn''t too much to ask for a room, right?"

Kieran, who went to get sses of water for them, heard that when he came back. He raised his eyebrows. Were they treating this house as a hotel?

L chuckled. "You can take a look at which room you like."

The few of themughed. Lughed with them. She remembered another matter. She took out the box of pearls Bryce gave her from her bag.

She thought that she should bring the stuff over first as she was going to move to Hilltop Heights after the New Year. But when she got out of the car, she was distracted by them.

Before L spoke up, Kieran''s phone rang. After hearing what the person on the other end of the line said, his expression darkened. "We''ll head back right now."

After ending the call, he said, "L, Grandma suddenly fell ill. We need to go to

    the hospital now."
