Chapter 1653

Miss Mirabe had always been the talk of the town, wrapped in all sorts of rumors that painted her as almost mythical. When the butler finally saw her in person, he was at a loss for words. Sure, she was striking and had a hint of resemnce to Keir, but other than that, she seemed like any other high-societydy. There wasn''t anything that stood out as particrly extraordinary.

Realizing he might have set the bar too high, the butler shifted his gaze. Meanwhile, Mirabe, unfazed by his reaction, stepped out of the car and took in the sight of the grand mansion. With a soft sigh, she did what any young woman would do.

    She pulled out her smartphone.

Mirabe opened the camera app but hesitated before snapping a picture. She turned to the butler and asked politely, "Mind if I take a photo?"

The butler was about to say, "That might not be appropriate," but Grady, walking ahead, turned back with a grin and said, "Usually, it''s a no-go, but for you, Miss Mira, we can bend the rules."

The butler promptly closed his mouth.

Mirabe raised an eyebrow, quickly found the perfect angle, and snapped a photo. She casually shared it on her social media, skipping a caption but adding a cheerful emoji.

Once done, she tucked her phone away.

"Just one photo? Why not a few more?" Grady asked, surprised.

He remembered how the butler''s daughter would sneak plenty of shots whenever

she visited. Yet here was Miss Mira, satisfied with just one. Mirabe simply smiled and said mysteriously, "Sometimes, less is more. One photo does the trick."

Grady, puzzled by the younger generation''s ways, just nodded and motioned towards the entrance. "Let''s head inside."

    "Alright."

Before long, Mirabe was following Grady and the butler into the mansion to the grand hall, Jim had been nervously sipping cup after cup of coffee while he waited. Though he sat in his usual spot with an air of authority, his tightly gripping hands on the mahogany armrests gave away his nerves.

As the car rolled up, he got even more anxious. He quickly turned to his aides, asking if his outfit was casual enough or if he looked too stern.

His aide''s face was a mix of emotions; it was the first time he''d seen the boss so visibly uneasy. It was nothing like his usual self.

For a moment, he wondered if

someone had switched out Keir. But knowing it was all because of Miss Mira he could somewhat rte. After all, he was curious about her foo.

"My gift?" Jim suddenly remembered, straightening his clothes again.

His aide quietly nudged the beautifully wrapped gift box on the coffee table closer and whispered, "It''s right here."

    Jim: "."

Jim cleared his throat, keeping a straight face as he said, "Of course I knew that, just checking."

Aide: Right, that excuse is as believable as a kid''s.

    Just then, footsteps echoed from

the doorway, growing louder. Jim immediately sat up straight, ending the chat with his aide. First impressions with his niece had to be perfect.
