Chapter 1597

After Robert wrapped up his chat, he and Mirabe headed back outside. They didn''t have to wait long before the lead professor of the Math Department and his students showed up.

The Math professor took a quick look at Robert and then nced toward the hotel lobby, still wearing a look of disbelief. "Your department really knows how to splurge."

He thought their hotel was already top-notch, but the Physics Department seemed to have outdone them.

Robert had been waiting for this moment all night. He shed a broad grin and waved his hand casually. "Oh, it''s all thanks to my student. Didn''t cost a dime."

The Math professor found Robert''s smug grin a bit annoying. So what if he had money?

    Whatever.

Mirabe didn''t pay much attention to the yful exchange between the two professors. Her eyes paused for a moment on Yara, who was standing just behind the Math professor.

Yara was just as surprised to see Mirabe there. As a freshman, Mirabe wasn''t supposed to be at such an in-depth symposium. But then again, being Dr. Elliot''s student had its perks.

After the initial shock, Yara smiled warmly and gave Mirabe a nod. Her makeup was on point, and she had that elegant vibe of someone from a well-off family. "Mirabe."

Mirabe nodded back politely. "Hi, Senior."

The Math professor was a bit taken aback at their greeting. "Yara, you two know each other?"

Yara nodded lightly. "When I visited the Physics Department earlier, Dr. Elliot introduced us. Mirabe is Dr. Elliot''s newest student."

Her words surprised not just the Math professor but also the other students behind her. Nobody had heard that Dr. Elliot took on a new student. And Mirabe seemed like a total mystery. Usually, those who became students of someone as renowned as Dr. Elliot had some serious skills, and it was odd they hadn''t met someone like her before.

Just as everyone was caught up in their own thoughts, Robert stepped forward. "Let''s not linger at the door. Let''s head upstairs; there''ll be plenty of time to get to know each otherter."

With that, everyone shifted their focus and soon made their way into the lobby.

ze and Patrick had already shaken off theirid-back attitudes and eagerly greeted the Math students, ushering them upstairs.

Squeezing ten people into one elevator made things a bit tight, but it didn''t stop the friendly chatter.

When they reached the top floor and opened the suite door, ze felt a sense of satisfaction seeing the wide-eyed expressions of the Math students.

Sometimes, a littleparison did the trick.

Mirabe settled into the farthest corner of the couch, shooting a sideways nce at the wide-awake ze, who wasn''t showing any signs of travel fatigue. Her lips twitched slightly.

Alright, she had thought of giving everyone a little remedy to shake off the travel blues, but that seemed unnecessary now.

After a quick round of small talk, the group dove into the main discussion.

Mirabe''s involvement was minimal-apart from Dr. Elliot asking her to help troubleshoot some issues, she hadn''t really worked with her friends on their research. So, she was more of a listener in this symposium.  s?novel

Even though it was, admittedly, a bit dull.

Mirabe got up and wandered out to the balcony. The presidential suite was pricey not just for its luxury andfort, but because each view was breathtaking. From the balcony, you could see almost half the city''sndscape.

It felt like the air itself wasced with the scent of wealth.

Mirabe clucked her tongue softly. Chester was definitely rolling in it.
