The CEO?!
Zane swallowed hard. The CEO of DO Group not only apologized to him but also promised to personally liaise with him going forward... How did things take such an unbelievable turn? He could barely believe it.
Next to him, Calvin couldn''t take his eyes off the business card, his expression even more shocked than Zane''s. He knew Hank mentioned Mr. Monks was a big deal, but he didn''t expect him to be *this* big of a deal. Why had the guy suddenly changed his tune so drastically? There was something Calvin felt he was missing.
Just then, there was another knock at the open door, and everyone looked up. A woman stood there, tall and with a unique presence.
J''s eyes lit up the moment he saw her. If it weren''t for everyone around, he''d have rushed over to greet her like a long-lost friend.
Zane snapped back to reality and waved Mirabe in. “Mirabe,e on in." If the DO Group folks hadn''t shown up, he would''ve sent Mirabe away, but now... Zane nced at J, who was staring at the door with a peculiar excitement, like seeing an old friend after ages. Zane found it odd.
Mirabe walked in, ignoring J''s intense gaze, and nodded slightly at Zane. "Professor, you called for me?"
Zane nced at Mr. Calvin, suddenly feeling more confident. "Yes, Mr. Monks came to the university to talk about a potential coboration."
Calvin''s face went through several shades of embarrassment. Even though Zane didn''t mention the apology, it made him feel even more awkward.
Mirabe shrugged, a hint ofziness in her eyes, as if she had expected this all along. "You guys can go ahead and talk."
Zane looked at his student, who seemed unfazed even if the king himself walked in. Worried Mr. Monks might take offense, he cleared his throat and said, "You''ve been handling the main database, and Mr. Monks wants to chat with you."
Mirabe finally looked at J. "What do you want to discuss?"
J met her gaze; despite her youth, she had this powerful presence. His dad was still mad. J chuckled.

awkwardly, “... Whatever you want to talk about, we''ll talk about
Mirabe: "."
Their interaction was downright strange.
Mirabe decided not to waste time and got straight to the point. "Did you bring the contract?"
J turned to Joseph behind him. Joseph had been observing Mirabe and quickly opened his briefcase to pull out a prepped document.
J skimmed through it and handed it to Mirabe. "Take a look. If it''s not right, I''l tweak it."
Mirabe nodded, flipping through

looked up at J. "The price
low."
"How about we double it?" J suggested without skipping a beat.
Hearing this, Mirabe sighed inwardly at the extravagance, then handed the
contract to Zane. "Professor, what do you think?"
Zane took the contract, a bit
bewildered, ncing between Mirabe and the document. He couldn''t quite wrap his head around how they''d jumped straight to signing a contract without much back and forth. As he read through it, the numbers left him stunned.
