Hank had no interest in listening to Calvin''s ramblings. With a flick of his sleeve and a cold expression, he too left the meeting room.
Seeing this, Calvin felt a headache brewing even more intensely. If he had known this would be the oue, he would have never brought Mirabe along.
She was just too much trouble!
Now, he found himself caught between a rock and a hard ce.

After leaving the meeting room, J quickly made his way outside, hoping to catch up with Mirabe to confirm his suspicions.
However, once he stepped outside the lobby, Mirabe was nowhere to be seen.
Joseph had caught up to him, and seeing his boss looking around, asked curiously, "Sir, what are you looking for?"
J, feeling regretful, didn''t answer Joseph''s question. After a moment''s thought, he headed towards the parking lot. "Let''s go to Prestige College."
The biology department at Prestige College-what was her name again? The department head called her Mirabe Hammond, didn''t he?
He should be able to find her at the school, right?
Joseph, unsure of his boss''s intentions, simply followed suit and responded affirmatively.
They quickly got into the car.
J''s gaze remained fixed outside the window until they drove out of the tech park. Then, he pulled out his phone and switched it toputer mode.
He began to hack into Prestige College''s data system.
Based on the information he had gathered earlier, J quickly found Mirabe''s basic information in the system.
It included her family address and a photo.
The photo matched the girl he had
seen earlier, and the
address...thanks to his excellent
memory, he recalled that a couple of
years@go, after losing a bet, he had arranged for a security system to be installed at that very address.
Cóntent belongs to
At the time, he had suspected it was her home, but then thought if it really was
her ce, why would they need hispany''s security system? She could probably outdo their most premium package on her own.
Looking at the address on the virtual disy, J could only think three words to himself: How foolish I am.
The big shot had given him the address, and he had still denied it.
What was even more pressing was that the person he had been calling "dad" turned out to be a younger woman.
J was in a whirlwind of emotions. He had originally thought the person would be a greasy middle-aged man in his forties!
Joseph, driving in front, nced in
the rearview mirror and saw a lot of confusion. He eventually couldn''t help asking, "Sir, weren''t you very interested in the big database? Why suddenly decide not to cooperate with the tech institute?"
J closed his phone, his expression turning nk, "They''re not worth it."
He wasn''t naive. From being blocked yesterday to what Mirabe had said earlier,
it was clear that someone from the tech institute was pulling strings from behind the scenes.
Mulling over some thoughts, J squinted and asked, "Tell me, how did you end up contacting the tech institute?"
Joseph tensed up, realizing some things couldn''t be hidden, "Actually, we initially contacted Prestige College through email. Later, the tech institute imed it was their proprietary project, so...I turned to them."
Hearing this, J nced at the back of Joseph''s head with a sharp look, "They gave you a kickback, didn''t they."
Joseph''s face paled. He didn''t dare to speak or admit anything.
"Consider yourself resigned when we get back." J said tly.
Joseph''s eyes widened in disbelief, struggling to ept what he had heard. After
a moment, he said somewhat defiantly, "Just for this minor issue, you want me to leave thepany?"
