Zane was already in the process of preparing his proposal, so when Calvin
brought it up, he readily agreed, nodding, "Then I''ll look forward to the good news from you, Mr. Calvin."
Calvin hummed in acknowledgment, "If there''s nothing else, that''ll be all for now. I have to head to the dean''s office shortly."
"Alright, Mr. Calvin, you go ahead with your busy schedule. I won''t keep you any longer." Zane politely nodded, then turned and walked out of the office.
Calvin watched him leave, standing silently for a few seconds before lowering his gaze back to the contract in front of him, his fingers tightening slightly.
He knew that Zane''s sess today was not without the influence of that student. If it hadn''t been for his initial bias, causing him to overlook her, Mirabe wouldn''t have ended up in his department.
If she had been in his department, perhaps his mentor rating would have increased a levelst year.
Every time Calvin thought about this, he felt a tightness in his chest, especially now that Zane''s department was securing one project after another. It was hard not to feel envious.
However, despite the frustration, Calvin took out his phone and called Hank.
The call connected immediately.
Hank''s voice came through first, "Hey there, I was just thinking of giving you a call, and here you are calling me."
Hearing Hank speak like that, Calvin was momentarily taken aback, forgetting to mention the contract immediately and instead politely asked, "What''s up, Hank? If there''s anything you need, just let me know."
Hank wasn''t at the tech institute today; he had just finished a meeting and was sitting in his car.
He looked outside the window and got straight to the point, "About that coboration project fromst year, we need to sign an additional usage authorization contract. Do you have time tomorrow morning so we can finalize this?"
Calvin hadn''t expected Hank to be calling about the contract as well, and immediately nodded, even though Hank couldn''t see, "Sure, you set the time and ce, and I''ll be there."
"Alright, I''ll send the details to your phone in a bit."
Hank appreciated straightforward people. After hanging up, the smile on his lips indicated his good mood.
Meanwhile, Calvin, after receiving the details from Hank, turned to message Zane.
He informed him that they would be signing the authorization contract the next day.

At noon, after having lunch with Zane and Wade, Mirabe took her leave first.
She caught a taxi back to her apartmentplex.
Once home, she took out the USB drive Zane had given her and
plugged it into herputer. As she reviewed the files, she thought to herself that it was indeed
However, the content was not too different from what she had discussed with J before.
Mirabe continued to browse through the files. After finishing, she sat silently in front of herputer, her fingers idly tapping on the desk.
Integrating artificial intelligence with artificial life to be used in robots without altering the current trajectory of this era proved to be a challenge.
Especially since this was entirely different from the applications at the tech institute.
Mirabe pursed her lips, removed the USB drive, and then opened a document. She started typing on the keyboard, but even after a while, she couldn''t produce a single line of text.
Truth be told, this was her first time attending university and her first attempt at
writing such a paper. She waspletely at a loss for words.
With a deep sigh, Mirabe picked up her phone, scrolled through Messenger, and eventually opened the chat with the guy next door, typing slowly, "Have you ever written a paper before?"
