Mirabe nodded, and after a moment, she retracted her hand, her mind already made up. She pondered for a bit and then said, "I have a friend who''s a member of the Herbalists'' Association. I''ll ask her to send you some herbal supplements to help you regte your body."
Wade was even more surprised to hear that Mirabe had a friend in the Herbalists'' Association than to know she could read pulses. "Mirabe, you have quite thework, having a friend in the Herbalists'' Association and all."
Mirabe just smiled modestly in response.
Wade knew the supplements from the Herbalists'' Association were very precious and felt bad epting them. After declining a few times but seeing Mirabe insisted, he reluctantly epted.
"I''ll go get my paper for you to see." Wade stood up from his chair, went over to hisputer to print the paper, and then turned back to Mirabe.
He handed the paper to her.
Mirabe skimmed through the paper quickly. It took her less than five minutes to read all four pages. Then she handed the paper back to Wade, "Your paper is quite good, but the points on infectious diseases might not be easy to pass."
"It''s not easy, but someone has to write about it." There was a determination in Wade''s eyes.
Mirabe saw that, so she didn''t offer more opinions, simply saying, "Professor, you''re a very principled researcher."
Wade chuckled and waved his hand dismissively, remembering something, and then said, "Why don''t youe to be my assistant from next semester on?"
The office door was open, and Calvin, who hade to see Wade, paused in his steps upon hearing Wade''s offer.
His gaze towards Mirabe inside the office wasplex.
This girl had once applied to their department, but he, biased at the time, had deliberately pushed her out.
Now, because of a coboration project with the Institute of Technology, she had be a prominent figure in the entire Biology Department.
It proved that a student from the humanities could excel in a science discipline.
Calvin would be lying if he said he didn''t regret it. Having such a talented student under any mentor would bring prestige in the academic world.
Inside the office, Mirabe heard Wade''s offer but directly declined, "Thank you for your offer, Professor, but I''m afraid I won''t be able to fulfill the responsibilities of an assistant due to time constraints..."
Just managing her workload from the Physics Department was overwhelming; she
had felt more than once like she had walked into a den of wolves.
Wade could tell that Mirabe rea
thoughtful person. Seeing her
refusal, he didn''t press further,
"Alright then, if you find yourself with free time, feel free to let me know."
Mirabe nodded, and as she looked up, she saw someone standing
the door, promptly standing up
"Then, Professor, I''ll take mydeave since you''re busy." fo
"Alright," Wade responded.
Soon, Mirabe left the office, merely nodding lightly without verbally greeting as she passed by Calvin.
Holding a folder, Calvin, had it been in the past, might have already stopped her for a scolding.
He entered Wade''s office with a calm expression.

After leaving the Biology Department, Mirabe headed to the Physics Department.
Dr. Elliot had to leave due to an emergency but had left two textbooks of winter break homework for Teacher Robert to pass to Mirabe.
When Mirabe received the books, the thought of giving up her second major surfaced in her heart again.
"Mirabe, you keep it up. I''ve never seen Dr. Elliot prepare materials for a student with such diligence before," Teacher Robert remarked on the side.
Mirabe''s lips twitched, "Thanks a lot."
