Chapter 669

    That was indeed the case.

    It was just that...

Celeste lifted her eyes and was about to say something, but when she met Jordyn''s hopeful gaze, she found herself unable to say anything at all.

At that moment, Trevor spoke. "Since you have time,e back with us for a while."

    "...Alright."

Celeste got into the car with them.

On the way back, Jordyn was very excited. But in the end, she couldn''t resist her sleepiness and dozed off just as they were about to arrive home.

The car stopped in the courtyard.

Trevor carried Jordyn out of the car. Celeste remained seated inside for two seconds, watching his figure, before finally getting out as well.

When the housekeeper heard they had returned, he hurried outside to greet them. But when he saw Celeste, surprise flickered in his eyes, followed quickly by delight.

    "Mrs. Fleming, you''re back."

Celeste paused slightly but did not respond to the form of address. Instead, she said politely, "Sorry for the trouble."

Hearing this, the housekeeper''s smile faltered for a moment, and he looked toward Trevor.

While Celeste was exchanging greetings with the housekeeper, Trevor had been standing there holding Jordyn, waiting for her.

"Do you want to go upstairs and rest first?" he asked.

Celeste nodded and followed him upstairs.

Although she didn''t look around deliberately, the moment she entered the house, she noticed that everything was exactly the same as when she had left. Nothing seemed to have changed.

Trevor carried Jordyn straight to her room, and Celeste followed him in.

After taking off Jordyn''s coat and shoes and tucking her under the nket, Trevor turned to Celeste, who was standing nearby.

    "Sleeping with Jo tonight?"

    Celeste nodded silently.

Trevor nodded. "Alright. If you need anything, let me know."

    "Okay."

Trevor didn''t say anything more and turned to leave Jordyn''s room.

There were pajamas in Jordyn''s room, so Celeste took a set and went into the bathroom.

    After she finished showering and

Seeing Celeste looking over, Hannah smiled and said, "Mr. Fleming asked me to bring over some of the things you usually use. Your clothes and skincare products are ced here, Mrs. Fleming, if you need anything else, just let me know anytime." Cóntent

"I understand. It''ste. Go and rest early."

    "Alright."

    Hannah left.

Celeste sat down at the dressing table. When she began using the skincare products Hannah had just brought, she noticed that although they were the brand she usually used, they were all brand new and unopened.  s?novels

    Celeste paused for a moment.

She had just finished her skincare when her phone suddenly chimed several times in a row.

Picking it up, she realized it was already past midnight.

Matthias, Beck, Caleb, Kieran, Theodore, Harold, and others had all sent her New Year greetings.

Seeing the messages, Celeste picked up her phone and replied to them one by one. The moment Beck saw her reply, he immediately sent another message.

"I heard from Trevor that you went out with him and Jo tonight. How was it? Did you have fun?"

Celeste replied, "It was quite fun."

After seeing her response, Caleb, Kieran, Theodore, and the others also sent more messages.

She also sent New Year greetings to Zachary and Lottie.

For the next half hour or so, Celeste stayed busy replying to messages on her

    phone.

When the conversations had finally died down, another message suddenly came in.

But this time, it was from Trevor in the room next door.

"Happy New Year. Go to bed early. Good night."
