Chapter 1936

Aurora had always maintained an elegant and dignified front. While she had faced her share of verbal abuse, her strong mentality allowed her to easily shrug it off. She rarely encountered anyone who resorted to physical violence right away. In fact, no one had ever daredy a hand on her.

Zara Lowell pping her out of nowhere had left herpletely stunned.

Just as she was about to retaliate, Zara had shoved her to the ground.

By the time Aurora was ready to throw caution to the wind and fight back, her assistant rushed over and held her back.

An unnamed fury surged in Aurora''s chest. She red viciously at Zara, looking as if she wanted to tear the girl apart.

But Zara wasn''t the least bit intimidated. Instead, her eyes were full of mockery.

"What are you staring at? You cheap bitch! If you ever show your face at thepany again, I''ll beat you every time I see you!"

Right then, the assistant-who had been sweating profusely trying to keep them apart-suddenly lit up.

    "Mr. Chapman, you''re here!"

Aurora barely turned her head before a figure sprinted past her.

"McCoy! This woman is bullying me! You have to stand up for me!"

Zara clung affectionately to McCoy''s arm, ying the victim. She painted herself as a poor, innocent girl who had endured endless torment.

Zara''s tant reversal of the truth made Aurora turn pale with rage. She had always disdained such petty jealousy and never imagined she would be framed by a woman like this.

Aurora looked at McCoy, the handprint on her cheek strikingly clear.

"McCoy, do you believe her or me?"

Seeing Aurora''s swollen cheek, a look of heartache shed in McCoy''s eyes. He shook off Zara''s hand and walked over to Aurora.

    "Aurora, are you okay?"

Before Aurora could answer, a familiar female voice chimed in.

    "Aurora, are you alright?"

Aurora''s eyshes fluttered as she spotted a familiar man and woman standing a short distance away.

Ste''s face wore a perfectly poised expression, and the smile on her lips seemed to mock Aurora''s pathetic state.

    Aurora

    unconsciously clenched her

fists, her angerpletely reced by a burning hatred. She hadn''t

forgotten who put her in this situation. Her dreams hadn''t just been shattered, they had be Ste''s stepping stones.

An unprecedented sense of injustice sparked a subtle change in Aurora''s heart. Had she not been bound by the so-called ties of family, everything she owned wouldn''t

have been stolen away. Those things... were clearly hers!

While her mind was racing, Ste''s voice rang out again.

"Mr. Chapman, Aurora is your wife, and she''s also my older sister. For a pregnant woman to suffer such humiliation... I expect an exnation."

McCoy had just signed a contract with Ste, and the Williams family was here to bail the Chapmans out. Deep guilt surfaced in his eyes.

"This was my oversight. How would you like to handle this, Ms. Cameron?"

Zara''s expression shifted when she heard Ste speak. Moving in the same circles, she naturally knew Ste''s reputation. Her father had told her that Ste was highly likely to be the next head of the Williams family.

Currently, whether domestic or abroad in Solmaris, Laurel Quinn

was the only female family head. Ste imed that position, she would undoubtedly be someone to look up to. Zaradared

she didn''t have the guts to provoke Ste.

Ste merely cast a faint nce at Zara and smiled. "Since it''s Miss Lowell''s first offense, how about she just apologizes to Aurora?"

Zara froze. Was it really that simple? She had expected Ste to make her beg for mercy or p herself!
