Ste froze, then heard Joshua calmly say, "This is Solmaris. The Fordham brothers caused such a massive scandal at the engagement party of the Williams and
Chapman families. Forget the Williams family; even the Chapmans would never let them get away with it.
"The Williams and Chapman families will do everything in their power to whitewash Aurora''s image.
"The Williams family can''t afford this humiliation, and neither can the Chapmans.
"Even if everyone knows the truth, some things can''t be spoken of openly.
"The Williams family let the Fordham brothers leave without any resistance because they were using Aurora as bait.
"Aurora might suffer a little at the hands of the Fordham brothers, but if they could sessfully capture them, it wasn''t impossible to reverse the situation.
"The Williams and Chapman families would do whatever it takes to make the Fordham brothers recant their story."
As he spoke, Joshua''s eyes held a chilling, detached light.
"Even if it''s impossible topletely silence the public, it''s better to bury their heads in the sand and maintain a semnce of dignity than to be in their current situation.
"Therefore, no matter the cost, they would never let the Fordham brothers leave Solmaris alive.
"As for whether the Chapman family will break off the engagement, that''s a problem forter. Right now, the Chapmans will absolutely deny that the video is real and will never admit that Aurora is that kind of person."
Ste instantly understood what Joshua meant.
The great families valued their reputation above all else. Even if the Chapman family cut ties with the Williams family now, they would still be aughingstock.
If they abandoned their fiancée as soon as trouble arose, they would be seen as ruthless and disloyal.
In short, after this scandal, no matter what the Chapman family chose to do, they woulde out looking bad.
The only way to salvage the situation was to dere that everything the Fordham brothers revealed was fake.
Whether the public believed it, and to what extent, was not a problem they could consider for now.
Clinging to a shred of usible deniability was still better than total exposure.
The Fordham brothers had caught everyone off guard when they arrived.
But they had offended two major families and caused such a serious incident. If the Williams and Chapman families let them get away, these top-tier ns would have been overthrown long ago.
Joshua''s clear, cool voice sounded from beside her.
"The Fordhams have always been all brawn and no brains. Otherwise, they wouldnt have been so easily tricked by Aurora in the first ce and ended up in such a miserable state.
"It was obvious they were going to be caught.
"Unless they had some kind of superpower, there was no way the two of them were getting out of Solmaris.
"Anyone who gets involved in this mess will have to face the wrath of both families. There''s no need to get dragged into the mud for these two idiots."
Joshua did, in fact, have the means to help the two brothers escape Solmaris.
But even if they did escape, the Williams and Chapman families would hunt them down relentlessly.
Along the way, who knew if the Fordham brothers would be deceived by Aurora again.
Helping them escape would only cause Aurora more physical suffering but would leave open the possibility for her to turn the tables.
When Joshua made a move, it had to be a fatal one. He would never leave any loose ends.
Ste turned to look at Joshua and continued his thought, "And with the Fordham brothers dead in front of everyone, there''s another benefit: dead men tell no tales.
"Besides, everyone will assume the Williams family did it.
"Even the Chapmans will think so."
Joshua looked at Ste, a faint smile on his lips.
"Star, you''re getting smarter and smarter."
But Ste looked at Joshua with aplicated expression.
Noticing her strange gaze, Joshua asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
