One day, while Ste and Joshua were having a meal with Keen, she suddenly received a call from Haynes.


    "Star, something''se up at thepany. I need to head back to Novaris immediately.


    Should Keen stay with you for now, ore back with me?"


    Ste looked at Keen.


    "Keen, your dad has an emergency and needs to go back to Novaris. Do you want to go with him?"


    Keen instinctively hugged Ste''s arm. "I finally get to see you, Mom. I don''t want to go back so soon."


    Ste said to Haynes, "Keen doesn''t want to go back just yet.


    How about this? Let Keen stay with me for now. If you''re too busy with work toe back and get him, I''ll bring him back in a while."


    Abby had just taken a month off, so Ste coulde back with her.


    Since arriving in Solmaris, Ste hadn''t been back in a long time.


    Haynes said, "Okay. If you don''t have time to bring him back, just let me know, and I''ll send Benson to pick him up."


    After settling things with Haynes, they hung up the phone.


    After hanging up, Ste told Joshua about the situation.


    Joshua had no objections.


    Ever since Ste and Joshua had taken their rtionship to the next level, Joshua had stopped sleeping on the floor.


    With Keen visiting, Ste thought she might get a few nights of rest. But just as she got out of the shower, Joshua wrapped his arms around her from behind and began kissing her without another word.


    As Ste dodged his kisses, she whispered a reminder, "Joshua, Keen is staying in the next room."


    Joshua''s voice was hoarse. "Mmm, the walls are thick. He won''t hear anything."


    Ste was speechless.


    Was this really about soundproofing?


    Ste nced at the time. It was just past nine.


    Her eyelid twitched. It was too early. If this kept up night after night, Ste felt she''d bepletely drained.


    She had hoped to use Keen as an excuse, but Joshua wasn''t falling for it.


    Ste could only say, "Joshua, I have an early meeting tomorrow. I want to get some rest."


    Joshua swept her into his arms, his voice a soft, seductive murmur.


    "Just twice."


    Ste refused. "Once."


    Joshua countered, "I''ll let you go to sleep early tomorrow night."


    Ste didn''t believe him at all. "Just once. If you don''t agree, I''m going to sleep with Keen."


    Joshua''s thin lips pressed together, but he reluctantly agreed.


    Usually, Joshua would agree to almost any of Ste''s requests always kept his word, showing her great respect


    But in bed, he never listened to her, and he''d always push past what he promised.


    When Ste realized she had been tricked by Joshua yet again, she couldn''t help but bite him.


    "Joshua, you liar!"


    A few dayster, Wilbur knocked on the office door.


    "Ste, uh..... Simone is making a scene, demanding to see Joshua."


    At that moment, Joshua wasn''t in Ste''s office. He was in his old office, ying with Keen.


    Hearing Wilbur''s words, Ste was a bit surprised.


    "Hasn''t Simone been released yet?"


    At the mention of this, Wilbur looked embarrassed.


    "Simone has been quite cooperative,
