Across the street from the hotel, Sellers watched as Ste and Joshua left arm in arm, looking incredibly intimate. He raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
"Did it really work that easily?"
Anyone with eyes could see that the feelings between Ste and Joshua had clearly deepened.
Aurora smiled faintly. "Sellers, the simplest ns are often the most sessful."
Sellers''s tone was ambiguous. "Foreman is a real piece of work, willing to cooperate with us to push the woman he loves into the arms of his rival."
But Aurora corrected him. "You''re wrong, Sellers. It''s not that Foreman pushed Ste to his rival. Ste was never his to begin with, so how could he ''push'' her anywhere?
He was just taking advantage of what Ste didn''t know.
Even without him, it was only a matter of time before Joshua and Ste crossed that final line. If not now, then soon.
Could he stop something that was bound to happen? Obviously not.
If Haynes or Neville had tried to interfere, they might have had some effect. But Foreman..."
Aurora''s red lips curved into a smile. "His presence has absolutely no impact on Ste and Joshua''s rtionship.
If Foreman had any other options, he wouldn''t be working with us.
As long as Joshua is in the picture, he will never have Ste. So, getting rid of Joshua is what matters most.
That Foreman, to have almost taken Joshua out before, he''s got some brains and isn''t afraid to y dirty."
Sellers remembered the torment he had once suffered at Foreman''s hands, and a cold light flickered in his eyes.
"A treacherous snake like that will have to be eliminated eventually."
Aurora nodded lightly, then sighed. "Unfortunately, with Ste and Haynes both having moved out of the vi, it won''t be as easy for Foreman to gather information anymore."
Sellers looked down on Foreman''s petty schemes and snorted. "Someone like Foreman is truly despicable. He''d even use a child.
By the way..."
As if remembering something, Aurora looked at Sellers.
"Was there really anything wrong with the wine Keen brewed?"
Aurora replied, "Everyone present drank his wine, so of course it was fine. He had Keen bring out his personally brewed wine simply as a backup n. Joshua had noticed something was off, he could have shifted the me to Keen
Nothing else at the scene was tampered with, except for the incense burner that was already ced in the room.
With Joshua there, even the effect of the incense was minimal. It could only enhance the mood a little, not enough to make someone lose their senses."
Sellers frowned. "If the effect was so minimal, what was the point of @
cing an incense
there to
enhance the mood? It just
increased the risk of Joshua
detecting it."
Aurora said, "For a weary Ste, the emotional impact of yesterday''s surprise was maximized.
Foreman stayed away to avoid putting Ste on guard, wanting her to rxpletely.
After such a huge surprise, if their rtionship progressed, their feelings were bound to deepen.
Actually, the main purpose of yesterday''s n was to test whether our next n is feasible and worth the risk. Now it seems the n is worth the gamble.
Of course, if Foreman hadn''t gotten that information in advance, we would have had toe up with another way."
Sellers raised an eyebrow. "How did Foreman find out?"
Aurora said, "He either overheard it or found some way to trick Keen into revealing it. Sellers, I told you, that man has his methods."
