Since Keen was in Solmaris for a rare visit, Ste, despite her busy schedule, made time to show him around. Now a year older, Keen was much more considerate and didn''t take up too much of Ste''s time. He was on vacation and could stay in Solmaris for two months.
When Skyler Williams heard Keen had arrived, he suggested Keen stay at Williams Manor, but Haynes refused.
Given the current situation, a conflict between Ste and the Williams family seemed almost inevitable. Once Leonard''s shares were transferred to Ste, the thin veneer of civility between her and the family would be torn away. The Williams family wouldn''t just sit idly by in the meantime. If Keen stayed at Williams Manor, he could easily be a pawn in their struggle.
However, Skyler was still Keen''s grandfather and genuinely doted on him, so Haynes personally took Keen to see him. Skyler seemed to understand the situation; after suggesting once that Keen stay over, he never brought it up again.
For the rest of the time, Haynes looked after Keen himself, never entrusting him to anyone else. He wouldn''t even let Keen be alone with Foreman.
In order to spend more time in Solmaris, Haynes had finished all his work back in Neo-Vespera. He now had plenty of free time and was able to be a betterpanion to Keen.
One day, as Foreman returned to the vi, he saw a car parked at the entrance. A group of movers was busy carrying things out of it.
Foreman froze for a second, then quickly realized what was happening. He hurried into the vi and found Haynes sitting on the living room sofa. Keen seemed to have been picked up by Ste and wasn''t there.
Foreman strode over to Haynes. "Haynie, are you moving out?"
Haynes nodded. "Yeah. Star is fine now, so I can''t keep staying here. I bought a ce in Solmaris, so I''ll have somewhere to stay when I visit, instead of always being in a hotel. It''s more convenient."
Foreman looked at Haynes. "Haynie, with Keen here, you still have a chance if you want to fight for her. As long as you want to, Keen can create countless opportunities. You could even break up Star and Joshua..."
Before he could finish, Haynes cut him off in a low voice. "Foreman, because of Rachel, Keen and I hurt Star too much in the past. I don''t want to hurt her again."
Foreman clenched his fists tightly. "But Joshua isn''t right for Star!"
"Whether he''s right for her or not isn''t for us outsiders to decide," Haynes replied.
Foreman was stunned that Haynes would say such a thing. "Haynie," he said in disbelief, "are you just going to give up?"
"I''m not giving up," Haynes said. "But
I don''t want to hurt her anymore.
Since was able to give five years
of her life for me and Keen, loam certainly wait for her."
Foreman could no longer hold back. "Joshua has a hereditary mental illness that runs in his family," he said coldly. "His condition is unstable, and he could easily hurt Star The reason she was in.

hurry to move out of the vi with him was to hide it when he has an episode."
Haynes''s dark eyes deepened. "How do you know about this?"
A glint shed in Foreman''s eyes. overheard her talking to Abby the other day," he said slowly. "That''s also how I found out about fard giving his shares to Star
Haynes was silent for a long time before saying, "Star has her own judgment."
Foreman wanted to say more, but Haynes had already stood up.
"You''re crossing a line, Foreman. Star won''t appreciate you meddling so much, even
if you mean well."
With that, Haynes walked slowly out of the vi.
