Ste raised an eyebrow. "If? Mr. Lerman is a man who always ns everything meticulously. You never speak of things you aren''t sure of. Instead of asking me hypothetical questions, why don''t you do it first and then we can talk?"
Leonard''s expression dimmed, inch by inch.
But he still didn''t let go of Ste, clearly not ready to give up.
Left with no other choice, Ste brought up Joshua.
"Leonard, if you let me go now, Joshua won''t find out about this. If you keep harassing me and he finds out, he might actually kill you."
At her words, Leonard''s eyes instantly lit up.
"Ste, are you worried about me?"
Ste stared at him, utterly baffled. Only one thought crossed her mind.
This man was truly unhinged.
She was clearly warning him, yet he twisted it into concern? What kind of logic was that?
Ste could no longer remain calm.
At this moment, she was in absolute awe of Aurora.
Had he always been this crazy? How did Aurora manage to deal with him all the
time? Handling Leonard was far more mentally exhausting than hard work.
Ste''s gaze subtly scanned the items in the private room.
Getting Leonard to let her go seemed almost impossible.
She had to find a way to save herself.
However, just as she was thinking this, she heard Leonard''s voice.
"Do you want to get your revenge personally?"
Ste''s eyshes fluttered as she looked up at him.
She saw that a knife had appeared in his hand, seemingly from nowhere.
The razor-sharp de glinted coldly, clearly a high-end de, razor-sharp and cold in the light.
Ste''s pupils contracted. "Leonard, what are you doing?"
"Weren''t you just thinking about grabbing something to attack me with?" Leonard said. "If you want to attack me, why not use this? Or would you prefer a gun?"
Ste''s fingers tensed. He had noticed.
She felt that she must have done something terrible in a past life to have met a creep like Leonard.
She nodded. "Fine. Give me the knife."
Leonard handed it to her without hesitation.
Ste nced at the hand still
gripping her wrist. "If you don''t let go of my hand, how am I supposed to get my revenge? Or were you just saying that for show?" Content Belongs
Leonard released her hand.
Ste''s gaze turned icy.
She took the knife and lunged, aiming for his chest.
Leonard didn''t move an inch.
She hadn''t expected him to actually stand there and take it.
Ste''s expression shifted. At thest second, just before the de pierced his heart she changed its trajectory plunging into the spot on his shoulder where he had been shot.
Blood welled up around the de and began to run.
Leonard''s face went pale, but he didn''t make a sound.
He looked at Ste and asked, "Do you want to continue?"
Before Ste could answer, Abby''s voice came from the hallway. "Star, are you in here?"
Abby hade looking for her.
They had originallye together, but shortly after arriving, Ste had received a call saying that the female manager with them was being harassed by some rich kids in the restroom.
The manager had fought back out of fear and ended up injuring one of them.
The other party was influential and had called in a number of bodyguards, causing the situation to escte.
Ste couldn''t miss her meeting with thepany head, so she''d sent Abby to deal with it.
Worried that Abby and the manager would be at a disadvantage, she had told them to take Gideon and Wilbur with them.
Now, it seemed clear that this was all a setup by Leonard to get everyone else out of the way.
