Leonard picked up his phone and opened his chat history with Ste.
During the time she had him blocked, he had read through these messages countless times.
He wasn''t very good at chatting, and even worse at finding topics of conversation.
Every time he messaged Ste, he had to think for a long time first.
Sometimes, she was busy with work and would reply muchter.
Other times, she would tell him directly that she was busy and didn''t have time to talk.
As a result, even though they had been talking for over six months, their chat history wasn''t actually that long.
He could read through it all in a short amount of time each day.
Once, he had talked with Ste every day. Now, all he could do was endlessly scroll through their old conversations. To Leonard, these memories were a slow-acting poison, yet he couldn''t stop himself from swallowing every drop.
Especially after seeing Ste and Joshua being so intimate, Leonard was nearly driven mad with jealousy.
The door to his hospital room was knocked, and Simone Lerman came in to visit him.
"Leonard, are you feeling any better?"
After finishing with his chat history, Leonard logged into his email on his phone and started scrolling through it.
Simone was already used to this sight.
She felt that Leonard''s feelings for Ste were different from how he''d been with Aurora.
Back then, although he had been at Aurora''s beck and call and willing to be used by her, he had always remained rational.
He knew Aurora was using him for her own gain, but he didn''t care.
This time, however, she could clearly sense that Leonard had developed some kind of unexinable obsession with Ste.
It made him gloomy and unpredictable, his moods shifting constantly.
Even as his own sister, Simone found it strange.
Simone tried to distract him by bringing up Aurora.
"Leonard, Aurora has been missing for so long, and there''s still no news.
Where do you think she could have been taken?"
Leonard, still scrolling through his emails, answered nonchntly, "The Delta."
Simone was stunned. "Leonard, where did you say Aurora is?!"
Leonard repeated in an indifferent tone, "The Delta."
Once the shock wore off, Simone couldn''t suppress the gloating expression on her face.
Thinking of the once
high-and-mighty goddess about to be a ything for men Simone was so excited she wanted tough out loud.
She blurted out, "The Delta? Aurora was taken to the Delta? It''s karma!
Let''s see how she keeps up her pure and innocent act to seduce men now!
Ending upon a ce like the Delta,
she''ll be as filthy as theye. She might even catch some disgusting disease..."
Towards the end, Simone seemed to remember something and abruptly fell silent.
She had gotten carried away and had bad-mouthed Aurora right in front of Leonard.
She remembered a time when she had called Aurora pretentious, and Leonard had warned her.
Although he seemed to have moved on now, Aurora was still someone he had liked for a very long time. He
might not want to hear about her miserable situation. fo
Simone nced at Leonard cautiously.
His expression was cid, showing no reaction to Simone''s words. He was still focused on his phone.
Simone let out a sigh of relief and, calming down from her excitement, remembered
a question she had overlooked.
"Leonard, have you found Aurora?"
"No," Leonard replied.
"Then how do you know she''s in the Delta?" Simone asked.
Leonard said, "The smuggling ship was headed for the area around the Delta."
A smuggling ship?
It dawned on Simone. "So Aurora was smuggled out? Leonard, when did you find this out?"
