    Aurora stood outside, smiling. "Star, do you have a minute? There''s something I''d like to talk to you about."


    Ste invited her in. "What would you like to drink?"


    "Just water is fine," Aurora replied.


    Ever since Ste had returned to the Williams family, she and Aurora had never spoken alone. Some things were mutually understood, making false pleasantries unnecessary and hypocritical. Aurora was also self-aware enough not to cozy up to Ste or feign concern in front of the family to win favor, aside from polite greetings when they crossed paths.


    Therefore, despite their opposing positions, Ste didn''t dislike Aurora with the same intensity she felt for Rachel.


    Ste knew Aurora was smart. Schemes like Rachel''s carried too high a risk of getting caught. Besides, Aurora already had the family''s favor; why would she need to go to such lengths to crush someone?
