Ste understood Joshua''s implication. "You''re saying Sellers will approach the Camerons to help Aurora?"


    Joshua nodded slightly. "Given Aurora''s position, she can''t possibly have any direct dealings with the Camerons. To climb thedder, she doesn''t have many people she can use or undermine. She grew up with Jonathan and his brothers, so they wouldn''t be her first choice. Besides them, there''s you-a ready-made target. You hold founder''s shares, and you''re already in opposition to them. She has a million reasons to convince herself to move against you. However, there''s still the matter of family ties, so she can''t act without a usible reason. Using the Camerons is the perfect solution."


    Joshua gazed out the window, his eyes distant.


    "As for Sellers, helping Aurora isn''t just about his feelings for her. It''s because if Aurora seeds in taking power, it''s a win-win situation for him. Marrying Aurora would mean marrying the head of the Williams family. Even if they don''t end up together, she would owe him a significant debt, making their rtionship closer than any other."


    "My mother never spoke about my grandparents or her side of the family," Ste said. "I imagine her time with the Camerons wasn''t happy."


    "In wealthy families, those who are too sentimental get eaten alive," Joshua remarked. "When the dust settles, the ones left standing are never ordinary people."


    Ste thought of how her mother had given so much for Skyler and his sons, only to be forced into exile with no one to remember her kindness.


    "Don''t worry, Joshua," Ste said firmly. "I won''t let my emotions get the better of me."


    "I''ll go with you this weekend," Joshua said.


    "Okay."


    There was one more thing Joshua left unsaid. If Sellers wanted to get to Ste, he

    arrived at the Cameron estate together. Unlike the Western-style architecture of the Williams Manor the Cameron property was a ssic country estate, with traditional stone buildings, manicured gardens, and a serene stream winding through the grounds, giving it a timeless charm.


    Ste''s arrival was treated as a major event. Not only had the entire Cameron family dropped what they were doing, but even her grandfather and grandmother were waiting at the entrance to greet her.


    Seeing Ste, the elderly couple rushed forward excitedly.


    "Is this really Ste? You look so much like Nora... just as brilliant and beautiful."


    Ste presented the gifts she had prepared. "Grandfather, Grandmother, these are for you. I''m sorry it''s taken me so long to visit; I''ve been incredibly busytely."


    Her grandfather waved his hand dismissively. "Not at all, not at all. We know you''re busy with important work. We''re just happy that you remember us and cane by to visit now and then."

    After the brief introductions, Old Mr. and Mrs. Cameron led Ste inside. As they reached a secluded cottage on the property, gid Mts, Cameron Mrs. stopped and pointed. "Ste, this is where your mother, Nora, lived before she was married."
