Chapter 949

Foreman finally lost control of his temper and swung another punch.

Already injured, he threw all his strength into the blow; his wound tore open again,

staining his shirt red with fresh blood.

But Sellers wasn''t one to be easily cowed-he raised his fists and fought back.

Seeing the scuffle escte, one of Foreman''s bodyguards hurried forward,

    moving to shield Foreman.

A dangerous gleam flickered in Foreman''s eyes-cold and menacing.

He barked an order at the bodyguard beside him. "Tie this man up. I want to see

which is tougher-his mouth or my fist."

The message was clear: Foreman was about to take matters into his own hands.

Sellers'' face darkened. "You wouldn''t dare! Foreman, open your eyes-I''m not

someone you can just push around!"

Foreman''s handsome features were set in ice. "And what about Star? Did you

think she was someone you could just push around?"

Sellers studied Foreman''s expression, and suddenly an odd, taunting smile

    curved his lips.

"So concerned about Ste... Don''t tell me you''ve fallen for that hand-me-down?"

Both Neville and Foreman''s faces went cold at once.

Foreman turned to the bodyguard. "This man''s mouth is disgusting. Shut him up."

He already knew, from the people he''d set to follow Neville, that the blood found

in that vi belonged to Ste.

    Ste was hurt.

The thought burned through Foreman''s chest like wildfire.

Nothing else mattered now-he had to wring Ste''s whereabouts out of Sellers,

    no matter what it took.

Neville watched it all unfold, his face expressionless, making no move to

    intervene.

Even if Foreman didn''t do it, he would have.

As for offending the head of the Burton family? That was a problem for another

    time.

Foreman''s bodyguards were the best money could buy.

They answered only to Foreman, caring little for whose son or patriarch stood in

    front of them.

One of them delivered a vicious p across Sellers'' face.

The strength behind it was terrifying nothing an ordinary man could match.

The blow knocked a tooth from

    Sellers'' mouth, leaving him daze

and stunned, unable to react for a

    long moment.

Neville''s cold voice sounded above him.

"Mr. Burton, where''s Star? Maybe now you''ll tell us.

You''re a smart man-you must realize this is Sandford. If we wanted to kill you,

    it''d be all too easy.

Your phone''s out of reach. Even if someonees looking, they''ll find nothing.

Thest person you saw today was

Leonard. You and Leonard are rivals

for the same woman. If he killed you

to silence you, who would question

    it?"

Neville paused, smiling as if gently coaxing a child.

"Mr. Burton, you and Leonard aren''t friends. Why risk your life for someone who

    doesn''t matter?"

If Ste wasn''t with Sellers, then she had to be with Leonard.

There was no point in killing Sellers-the only thing that mattered was getting

    Ste''s location out of him.

Bloodshot and wild, murder flickered briefly in Sellers'' eyes.

He didn''t doubt a word Neville and Foreman had said.

If it had been Aurora who''d been kidnapped, he might have done the same.

Leonard had orchestrated this whole mess, but now Sellers was expected to take

    the fall? For what?

    He hadn''t kidnapped anyone-he

was just tricked onto this sinkin

ship by Leonard. Why should he

    cover for him?

He could lose his life over this.

Without further hesitation, Sellers decided to betray Leonard.

"Ste is with Leonard. Abby was just thrown out there as a decoy-Leonard

    made sure of that."
