Neville quickly realized who was tailing him.
A faint crease appeared between his brows.
Why was Foreman following him instead of chasing the suspicious car? What was he ying at?
Neville mulled it over for a few seconds, then decided to call Foreman.
"Mr. Richards, I''d think right now you have more important things to do than follow me," Neville said quietly. "After all, I''m not the one who kidnapped Star."
Foreman''s voice was calm, almost detached. "My people are already pursuing the suspicious car. As for you, Mr. Connolly-weren''t you the one who suggested we put aside our differences and work together? Yet here you are, keeping new leads to yourself."
Neville replied, "Foreman, I can''t guarantee the person I''m chasing is involved, or that Star is even with them. Splitting up is our best shot."
Foreman let out a short, coldugh. "How I proceed is none of your business, Mr. Connolly."
There was a long silence before Neville spoke again. "If you want to follow, be my guest." With that, he hung up.
If Foreman was still shadowing him, it meant he hadn''t found anything useful either.
But then, Foreman''s phone rang.
On the other end, one of his men sounded panicked. "Mr. Richards! There''s been an ident-the car we were chasing just crashed off the overpass! We found Abby inside."
Foreman''s face drained of color. "And Star? Did you see Star?"
"We haven''t found Ms. Cameron yet, sir. She might still be in the car. Our team is searching now."
Foreman felt his heart seize up, vision cking out for a split second as dizziness washed over him.
He pulled himself together and barked at his assistant, "Turn around! Head for the overpass, now!"
Neville soon noticed Foreman''s car pull a sudden U-turn.
Has he found a clue? Neville wondered. But he didn''t follow Foreman''s lead. He had to keep tailing Sellers-if Ste was with Sellers, wasting time on anything else could cost her life.

Foreman stood pale and tense beside the crash site.
Abby had been pulled from the wreck. She''d suffered both a
concussion and nearly drowned, and was now unconscious at the
hospital. Content beloned, and
Recovery crews were still searching the river.
It wasn''t until dawn that they finally hauled Abby''s car out of the water.
It was empty.
Other team members reported back: no sign of Ste in the river.
Foreman
was left in agonizing
doubt. Was Ste never in that

Just then, his phone vibrated again.

It was Neville.
"I''ve got Sellers," Neville said, voice grim. "He isn''t talking, and Star isn''t here."
A murderous urge red in Foreman''s chest. His voice turned icy. "Where are you?"
Neville rattled off an address.
"I''m on my way."
Foreman ordered his men to continue the search, then sped to meet Neville.
When Neville had finally cornered Sellers, he''d found only Sellers, his assistant, and a few bodyguards in the car. Neville thoroughly searched all of Sellers'' vehicles, one by one, but came up empty-handed.
There was nothing suspicious, nothing out of ce.
Neville asked, "Has Mr. Burton been to that house?"
Sellers shook his head. "No."
But the blood they''d found at the house had already been tested. It was definitely Ste''s.
