Chapter 739

    Sports Center.

Keen and Joshua faced off at the shooting range.

Just as Joshua had promised Keen earlier, he didn''t go easy on him—not even a little.

Every single shot Joshua took hit dead center, one bullseye after another, wless and unwavering.

Keen, who had started out feeling confident, could only stare in disbelief at Joshua''s perfect record.

He couldn''t even imagine hitting the bullseye every single time like that.

Thepetition was over before it even began; Keen already knew he''d lost.

After firing a few rounds, Joshua nced over at Keen.

Seeing Keen gawking at him, Joshua chuckled and said, "That was just a warm- up. We haven''t even started for real yet."

    Keen swallowed hard. "W-warm-up?"

Joshua nodded. “Look, I am an adult, after all. To make things fair, how about I stand five meters farther back than you?"

Keen knew full well that if they shot from the same distance, he''d never be able to beat Joshua.

    He nodded in agreement.

Yet even with the handicap, Joshua''s aim was unshakable; every shot still hit the bullseye.

Atst, Joshua moved all the way back to the farthest mark.

In the entire sports center, almost nobody could make every shot from that distance let alone hit bullseye every single time.

Keen watched Joshua''s every move, wide-eyed and nervous, a hint of awe shining in his pretty eyes.

    Bang! Bang! Bang!

A trio of sharp gunshots rang out. Keen jumped up in delight.

"Another perfect score! Mr. Joshua, you''re incredible! Even better than Miss Aurora!"

Aurora could also hit the bullseye from that distance.

    But never with Joshua''s consistency.

Even she sometimes scored an eight or nine.

Back then, Keen had thought Miss Aurora was the best there was.

He never imagined Mr. Joshua would be even better.

After that, no matter what sport Keen wanted to try, Joshua performed almost wlessly.

Even at things he wasn''t familiar with, he''d pick up the rules in no time and master the basics in minutes.

Ste had been warned by Abby that Joshua was a natural athlete, but seeing

    Pain person stilkmade her

    pause in admiration.

By now, Keen was Joshua''s number one fan.

That day, the sports center was running a special event at the

archery range whatever prize you hit

    take

with your arrow, you got to take

    home.

But each person only got three arrows, and you couldn''t have someone else

    shoot for you.

Keen had his eye on a model car sitting not too far from the line.

But even after three tries, he couldn''t hit it.

Archery and shooting both required uracy, but archery demanded much more drawing the bowstring wasn''t easy, and it took real strength coordination.

Ste gave it a shot, too, but missed all three times.

She was gifted with music, but when it came to sports, well, that was a different

    story.

Just then, an arrow whistled past Keen and Ste, striking the model car with perfect precision.

A staff member brought the prize over to Joshua.

"Congrattions, sir. You''ve won the model car."

Joshua handed it right to Keen.

"Didn''t you say you liked these? It''s yours."

Keen''s eyes lit up. "Thank you, Mr. Joshua!"

Joshua smiled. "Is there anything else you want? Tell me, and I''ll win it for you."

Keen nced at the disy of prizes, voice dropping to a whisper. "Anything at all?"

    Joshua nodded. "Anything."

Keen looked farther down the range.

The prizes up front were all stationary objects, close enough to be easy targets.

But farther back, the rewards were different-live animals.
