Ryan didn''t have a choice he was practically dragged onto Simon''s boat.
Simon wasted no time. "ra''s been kidnapped by Dn," he said, his voice tight.
Ryan''s heart dropped. He knew ra hated Dn-she''d told him so more than once. And now Dn had forced her into marriage? That was it. Ryan couldn''t just sit back anymore.
Simon was pacing the deck, phone glued to his ear, barking orders. Between calls, he nced at Ryan. "You really don''t know anything about ra''s past?"
They''d been obsessively piecing together information for days. Simon knew how much Ryan cared about ra-she could be from anywhere, any family, and Ryan would still want to protect her.
Then Simon dropped the next bombshell: Dn had forced ra to register for a marriage license. Worse, Dn already had a kid with someone else. Ryan''s anger boiled over.
The whole thing had started as a joint n between him and Simon. Even Cole had tried to talk Ryan out of it, but the thought of ra being trapped with a man she despised drove him crazy.
"I don''t know. Maybe my dad does," Ryan said quietly, his voice strained. He looked exhausted. Even if they managed to take down Dn, they still hadn''t found ra. She hadn''t tried to reach him either.
What neither Ryan nor Simon realized was that ra had been in that car the other day. Their original n had been to take Dn out together, but since he walked away without a scratch, they figured they''d failed.
Simon was just as frustrated. How could Dn still be alive after all the nning? Now he was waiting for Dn''s revenge, but two days passed and Palm Bay was silent.
Still, Simon was convinced Dn wouldn''te after Ryan. As long as Ryan kept his head down, he''d be safe.
"Ryan, stop worrying about ra. If we think things through and really hurt Dn this time, she''ll have the chance to escape. Once she''s out, I''ll take her somewhere far away-Dn will never find us."
Ryan was in on the plot, but he didn''t trust Simon for a second. In his mind, no one was good enough for ra.
Dn was bad news-he deserved a punch in the face. Simon was even worse- he deserved two.
But right now, the only thing that mattered was finding ra.
Ryan stayed silent. He knew Simon was using him, but he didn''t care. If it meant getting ra away from Dn, he''d take on anyone.
Simon kept talking, ying out ns for their next move, totally missing the icy look in Ryan''s eyes.
Ryan wasn''t that na?ve kid anymore.
He could see right through

Simon there wasn''t any love for re there, just jealousy mayb even hatred.
That wasn''t love. Real love showed in your eyes, gentle and real. Ryan looked down, tuning out Simon''s schemes.
ra was jolted awake in the middle of the night by someone pounding on the front door. She hadn''t even gotten out of bed before the lock broke and the door smashed open. Strangers stormed into the Bolton house.
Emily jumped in front of them, her voice shaking with anger. "What are you doing? Why are you breaking our door down?"
A group of rough-looking
middle-aged men swept their eyes across the living room, faces hard and unfriendly. "We heard there''s a pretty woman from the here. capita Who knows what she''s really doing? We''re taking her to the care facility!" Cóntent
Emily''s face went white. Her grandpa had always warned her-nothing good happened at the care facility.
She''d once thought about working there, but he''d yelled at her to stay far away
and made her promise she''d never set foot in that ce.
Knowing she couldn''t fight them off, Emily yelled, "ra, run!"
ra had just managed to get dressed when her door was kicked open.
The men saw her and stopped short, surprise shing across their faces. Then they grinned and closed in.
"She''s the one from the capital. Let''s take her!"
Emily rushed over and grabbed onto one man''s leg. "ra, run! Don''t let them take you that ce is horrible!"
She didn''t even finish her sentence before someone kicked her aside. Emily hit the floor hard, coughing up blood.
