Chapter 1127

    ?Chapter 1127:

Riley pped in agreement. “Seriously, that’s perfect. It’ll blow him away.”

But Frederick just sat there, arms crossed, brow furrowed in doubt. He pictured the disy and winced internally. Wasn’t that exactly the sort of thing a gaudy millionaire would pull for the tabloids? It felt like too much.

“Fred, what about you?” Freya asked, her eyes narrowing slightly—she could tell something was bothering him, though she couldn’t put her finger on it.

“I think…” He hesitated, flicking a nce at Greta and Riley.

Before he could continue, both women gave him sharp, silent looks that screamed shut it.

The real magic of the proposal had toe from Ellis.

Freya didn’t need to orchestrate anything extravagant—just the gesture alone would mean everything to Ellis. If her proposal ended up too wless, it might steal the spotlight from whatever surprise he was preparing.

Noticing Frederick’s reluctance, Freya leaned in, reassuring him with a gentle smile. “Don’t hold back. I want to hear your honest thoughts.”

Frederick hesitated, ncing sideways at Greta and Riley, who were both shooting him warning looks. But he powered through anyway.

“Honestly? I think it’s kind of tacky,” he admitted, ignoring their res. “It doesn’t really push the drones to their limits.”

“Go on,” Freya arched an eyebrow, inviting him to borate.

“Spelling out names with drones just isn’t as impressive as a show-stopping fireworks disy,” Frederick noted, speaking his mind. “Fireworks are cheaper, and they create a way bigger spectacle.”

“Fireworks?” Freya repeated, the idea slowly taking root.

    “Exactly.”

“I have to admit, he’s making sense,” Freya said thoughtfully, already starting to piece together a new n in her mind. Of course, making it happen would mean seriously upgrading the drones.

As she voiced her agreement, Greta and Riley visibly rxed, tension draining from their shoulders.

Frederick, however, still looked unsure. He cleared his throat and pressed her.

“Freya, are you really sure this could work?”

Freya gave him a decisive nod. “I am.”

“To be fair, fireworks do feel kind of cliché now, don’t they?”

“You’re calling it cliché just because you’ve seen too many.” Greta shot back, unwilling to let Frederick shoot down the idea so easily. “She’s obsessed with fireworks. She could watch a thousand shows and never get bored.”

“But the proposal isn’t about Ellis, is it?” Frederick probed, pinpointing what mattered.

This was Freya asking Ellis to marry her. Would it be better if it was something he truly wanted?

Freya cut in before anyone else could speak, her mind made up. “Then it’s settled. Fireworks. But I’ll need to push everything back a month—there’s a lot I have to line up.”
