?Chapter 1145:
Because Leif had uncovered the truth—both Heidi and Malvina had been acting under Shelly’s instructions. She was the one pulling the strings from the shadows.
Norton’s voice cut through the silence. “Do you really not know why Heidi’s after you?”
Shelly’s fake frailty slipped for just a second. Her expression froze, but she quickly recovered, putting on an innocent smile. “I don’t understand what you mean.”
“I know everything,” Norton said bluntly. “You told Malvina and Heidi to frame Yvonne.”
The color drained from Shelly’s face. Her lips parted, but the words came out in a stammer. “Please… I can exin—”
His voice dropped to a frosty, final tone. “Out of respect for the fact that you once saved my life, and for helping maintain appearances all these years, I’ll give you onest chance.”
For a second, hope flickered in Shelly’s eyes. But then he crushed it.
“This is your final warning. If you evere after Yvonne again, I won’t hold back.”
With that, he turned and walked out of the room without looking back.
“Norton…” Shelly whispered, her voice trembling with disbelief. She stared at the door long after he was gone. Her fists clenched at her sides.
Then her eyes locked on the vase beside her bed. With a scream of rage, she grabbed it and hurled it to the floor.
“Yvonne! Yvonne! It’s always about Yvonne!”
The vase shattered, ss flying everywhere. Her curses echoed through the sterile room.
After a few moments, her breathing slowed.
But now, there was something else too—a dark, twisted smile.
If Heidi hadn’t screwed everything up, Norton would have never found out. She couldn’t even do one thing right—and she dared to ckmail her?
Still fuming, Shelly picked up her phone and made two calls. This time, she would make sure Heidi paid.
A few dayster, Lucy had returned to work, and Shelly was ready. She packed her things and headed straight to a private mental health facility—just as nned. Everything was set. Now, she just had to wait for Heidi to take the bait.

Lucy nced around the room as she tidied up Shelly’s things, concern etched across her face.
“Shelly… do you really have to go this far? Isn’t this too dangerous?” she asked.
Shelly scoffed. “What would you know? You can’t get anything done without taking risks.” Her voice was sharp, her eyes gleaming with confidence. She wasn’t afraid. Not anymore.
She had already tipped off the police and arranged every detail. The moment Heidi showed up, officers would be ready and waiting. Everything was in ce.
“I even told my manager to leak my location,” Shelly said smugly. “Let the press and the fans know I’m here—recovering from trauma.” She leaned back, pletely self-assured. “She’lle. I know she will.”
Her lips curled into a smile of quiet triumph. This time, Shelly would have thest word. She’d teach Heidi her ce.
