Chapter 1126

    ?Chapter 1126:

He halted mid-step, exasperation in now. With a flick of his fingers, he gestured to the bodyguards behind him. “Throw her out.”

Before she could react, two guards stepped forward, each seizing an arm. “Wait—what?! Norton!” she shrieked, twisting in their grip. “You can’t be serious!”

But Norton didn’t spare her a second nce. He walked straight into Yvonne’s hospital room, as if Shelly had already ceased to exist.

“Let me go!” Shelly howled after him, rage overtaking her carefully crafted sorrow.

She kicked and struggled, but the guards were stone-faced.

They marched her to the elevator, waited for the doors to slide open, and then shoved her inside like yesterday’s trash.

Alone now, Shelly seethed. Norton’s cold indifference yed in her mind like a looping nightmare. Her face twisted with jealousy.

She stomped her foot, the sound sharp against the elevator floor. “Yvonne, I won’t let you go!” she snarled, her voice echoing against the metal walls.

When the doors opened again, she stepped out with thunder in her heels and venom in her re.

Her fingers flew to her phone. A cold smile curled on her lips as she dialed. “Hello, Heidi? We’ve got work to do. Yvonne needs to pay.”

Back in the hospital room, the air felt warmer. Norton entered, carrying a meal box. Yvonne was still glued to the TV, barely sparing him a nce.

“Time to eat,” he said gently.

She nodded, eyes still on the screen. “Has Edmond eaten?”

“The butler brought his meal earlier,” Norton replied as he unfolded the small table and began unpacking. “He’s doing fine. Should be discharged in a couple of days.”

Yvonne’s gaze shifted, a spark of lightness returning to her face. “Then let’s take him back to the estate once he’s ready.”

Norton smiled, catching the eager glint in her eyes. He handed her a fork. “Here. Eat while it’s hot.”

She didn’t need a second invitation. She was famished!

Though her condition wasn’t serious, she’d stayed overnight to finish her treatment. By early morning, it had been toote to leave—and she hadn’t wanted to rm Edmond, so she nned to visit him soon. Now that he was on the mend and almost ready to leave, the knot in her chest had loosened. She dug into her breakfast with quiet gusto, rxed and at ease.

Norton watched her from across the table with a smile, content just to see her like this.

In the quiet hum of a cozy café, Shelly sat by the window, nked by Heidi and Malvina.

“Ms. Tucker, what an honor to finally meet you in person,” Malvina gushed, her smile wide and overly eager—dripping with ttery. Shelly’s gaze dipped to her coffee, a faint smile curling her lips to hide the flicker of disdain in her eyes.

“Let’s get to the point,” she said softly.

Heidi, cradling her steaming mug, tilted her head. “So, what’s the n?” Shelly had reached out to her that morning with a specific request: bring Malvina along. Now that all three were here, she was clearly eager to hear what this was about.

But before Shelly could answer, Malvina jumped in, frustration spilling from her like steam from a cracked kettle. “I can’t even get close to Yvonne! Last time I tried to pass her an ad contract, I didn’t even make it to her desk!”
