Rodney then recalled what Eliza said.


    ording to Eliza, Sarah was under no illusions that it was not Freya who kidnapped her.


    However, whose words should he believe?


    Perhaps the only thing he could be sure of was that Eliza was the culprit.


    "Sarah, it wasn''t Freya who kidnapped you," Rodney said while looking into her eyes weakly.


    Sarah froze. She, of course, knew that Freya did not kidnap her. However, Rodney imed it was Freya''s doing when she woke up. Given that her face was disfigured and she was disabled, she had to shift the me onto Freya. Only then would Rodney know of Freya''s wickedness and give up on herpletely.


    However, how did Rodney find out about it?


    At that moment, many thoughts shed across Sarah''s mind. After ten seconds or so, she feigned confusion and said, "How could it be? Didn''t you say you caught her red-handed when you saved me? She hates me. She thought I wanted to destroy your marriage, so she tried killing me using those terrifying means.''


    While speaking, she wrapped her hands around her


    head in agony. "It was agonizing. Everything felt like a nightmare to me. I don''t ever want to look back at it for the rest of my life."


    Rodney sympathized with her, as well as himself.


    It was a nightmare for her and for him.


    He was also exhausted. He hardly had the energy to hug and coax her. "I always thought it was her doing too. But today, I found out that Eliza was the one who kidnapped you, not Freya. Freya only took the me for Eliza."


    "What?"


    Unable to bring herself to carry on with the act anymore, Sarah widened her eyes in disbelief. "That''s impossible. I don''t know Eliza, and we have no personal vendetta between us. Is Freya lying to you only because she wants to get back with you?"


    "No. Eliza is Charity''s childhood friend. I didn''t suspect her because she had Chester backing her and Freya took the me. I found out that Freya was in The Lodge when the incident took ce. She has nothing to do with the kidnappers as well."


    Rodney muttered as he exined the truth to her.


    Sarah was utterly dumbfounded. She never expected Eliza to be the person who hurt her.


    What was more, Eliza was rted to Charity, that b*tch. Charity was dead, yet she would not stop pestering Sarah.


    No way. Sarah felt the need to take revenge on Eliza for the things she did to her.


    However, the only person she could rely on at that point was Rodney. Now that he found out Freya did not kidnap her, he must be thinking about his ex-wife and child. Sarah must stop him from going back to them.


    After a thought struck her, Sarah broke down and cried. "How could this happen? Why did Freya take the me and cover-up for Eliza, the culprit? No wonder Eliza was bold enough to act fearlessly. What have I done? Charity''s death had nothing to do with me at all. I didn''t wish for anything to happen to the Neeson family either. Now, I''m the only Neeson left. I''m all alone, and I''ve lost all my next of kin. No one can understand what I''m going through."


    Then, she hurriedly clutched onto Rodney''s hand. " Rodney, call the police now. You must not let Eliza get away with it."


    "There is nothing I can do. The incident happened a while ago, and Chester has long since destroyed all the evidence for Eliza. Besides, Eliza is now Chester''s woman," Rodney said with a low voice.
