Chapter 760

Lincoln spoke earnestly. "Sky, I think seeing a therapist would be good for you. I''ll apany you. No one needs to know-neither Father nor Mother, Marcus or Nat. I''ll make sure it stays between us."

Sky''s eyes reddened, and after a long pause, he finally agreed. "Okay. Thank you, Lincoln."

Lincoln smiled. "Sky, we''re family. I''m your brother. It''s enough that you don''t me us for not helping you before. I''m sorry we couldn''t do more back then."

Sky exhaled deeply. "I know, and I don''t me any of you. When I was in prison, I had a lot to think about. I don''t have the right to me anyone. If I should me someone, it''s myself.

"Lincoln, please go ahead and arrange the session. Once you have everything set, let me know the time. I''ll see the therapist."

Lincoln nodded. "Alright. I''ll make the arrangements soon."

He nced at his watch. "Sky, take it easy tonight. I''ll set it up tomorrow."

    Sky nodded. "Okay, thank you."

Lincoln added, "Sky, don''t mention it. This is what I should do as your brother. When we were kids, you took care of me so well. When I started my business, you helped me out a lot. My respect and gratitude for you have always been there."

Sky nodded once more. "Lincoln, thank you."

Lincoln smiled. "Sky, there''s no need for that, really. Let''s get some rest."

The two returned to the house, said goodnight to each other, and went to their separate rooms.

Lincoln sent a message to Naomi, made a quick phone call, then went to take a shower before bed.

Meanwhile, Sky sat on the balcony after finishing his evening routine. Since his return, he hadn''t been able to sleep well. Some nights, he would finally manage to fall asleep, only to be tormented by nightmares.

In his dreams, Emma was covered in blood, crying out to him, "Sky, don''t you want me anymore? Don''t you want me? Sky, please save me. I love you...."

Each repeated "Sky" was like an incantation, haunting him, and every time he woke up, his body was drenched in sweat.

Sky sat on the balcony, intermittently checking his phone. It was a new phone, and everything inside was empty.

His old ounts had photos and videos, but he didn''t want to restore them.

To him, Emma felt like a fleeting mist that disappeared as soon as it was swept away.

However, the emotions and effort he had invested in her were so heavy that it felt like an unbearable burden.

He had watched her grow from a tiny baby in his arms to the adult woman she had be. He had taught her to speak, helped her take her first steps, and had been involved in every stage of her life.

Sky didn''t know if it was right or wrong to give up on her in the end. All he knew was that after meeting him, she had taken her own life.

Though Sky appeared calm on the outside, he couldn''t find peace inside.

Still, he hid it well. His parents hadn''t noticed, nor had Gorge. Only Lincoln, who was always busy and seldom home, had noticed his inner vulnerability and the troubles he kept hidden.

    Sky couldn''t refuse Lincoln''s kindness.

He sat on the balcony for a long time, lost in thought, until a message from Lincoln brought him back to the moment.

Lincoln had sent just one sentence. "Rest early, and don''t overthink it."

Sky replied, "I understand. Thank you, Lincoln."

    Lincoln texted, "Goodnight!"

    "Goodnight," came Sky''s reply.

    ...

The next morning, Lincoln knocked on Sky''s door early. When Sky opened it, Lincoln greeted him with a smile. "Sky,e with me! Everything has been arranged."

Sky hesitated. "Lincoln, I''m still a little scared. Maybe we should just skip it."

Lincoln pulled Sky downstairs. "Sky, don''t be afraid. I''ll be with you the whole time. Let''s have breakfast first, then we''ll head out."

Lincoln didn''t mention seeing a therapist. He just told their parents that he and Sky were heading out.

Sky took a deep breath. At this point, it would be ungrateful of him to refuse Lincoln''s kindness.

After breakfast, they left Walker Estate together. Lincoln had decided to drive them himself.

Lincoln smiled. "Today, I''m not taking a driver with us. I''m going to be your personal driver, Sky."

He added yfully, "Since starting college, we''ve rarely spent time together. Do you remember when got into trouble at school and couldn''t tell Mother and Father? You were the one who stepped in and helped me handle it."

    belongs to s

Sky nodded. "I remember, but it wasn''t your fault. I couldn''t just let my brother get

bullied. Lincoln, I''m fine, so you don''t need to worry about me."

Sky rolled down the window and looked out at the passing scenery. "I know I''m not okay, but I thought I hid it well."

Lincoln sighed. "Sky, you can''t hide from the people who truly care about you. This is a message from Nat. Take a look."

Sky took Lincoln''s phone. It showed a chat between Lincoln and Natalie.

Natalie: "Lincoln, now that Sky''s home, please keep an eye on him. If anything off, take him to see a therapist immediately."

    Lincoln: "Why?"

Natalie: "Lincoln, don''t ask why. Just trust me when I say that Sky isn''t happy. You need to take him to see a therapist, fm with Marcus, but I be back soon. Until then, keep an eye on Sky and make sure nothing happens to him."  s

    you notice

Sky was stunned. He hadn''t expected Natalie, who was traveling, to be so concerned about him.

Lincoln nced at Sky. "Sky, Nat''s not as petty as you think she is. She''s not holding onto the past. The therapist she found is someone trustworthy."

Sky replied softly, "Alright. I''ll see the therapist."

Sky finally epted it. His eyes were now slightly red. As a convicted man, even if he wasn''t happy or had some sort of illness, it was

    something he deserved. When

surprised him was that Natalie, whom he had once criticized so much, had been the first to notice his inner turmoil. He had even sided with Emma over her at one point.  s

Sky smiled faintly. "Lincoln, thank you, and thanks to Nat as well. I''m willing to see

    the therapist."

Lincoln smiled and nodded. "That''s the right decision."

They continued talking as the car drove smoothly, finally stopping in front of a two-

story vi in the suburbs of Dithoria.

    Lincoln announced, "We''ve arrived."

Sky looked at the vi. "Is this the therapist''s house?"

He nced at the house, noting that there was no sign out front. It looked more

like a private residence than a clinic.

"Yes," Lincoln replied. "This therapist is a good friend of Nat''s. She''s made enough money and no longer takes patients."<fnb7f7> Follow current nov?ls on find?novel</fnb7f7>

After parking the car, Lincoln added, "This time, it''s a favor from her. Don''t worry- anyone who Nat trusts is surely reliable."

Lincoln nodded and got out of the car. "We''ve alreadye this far. Let''s go meet

    her."

The two of them walked up to the door, and Lincoln rang the doorbell. A momentter, a beautiful woman in a light blue dress opened the door.

"Mr. Sky, Mr. Lincoln, you''re here. Pleasee in!" Keira Chesson greeted them

with a smile. "I was just talking to Natalie, asking when her brothers would arrive.

It seems you''ve arrived just as we were chatting!"

    "Thank you," Sky said politely.

Lincoln and Sky walked into the vi. Keira invited them to sit down, then turned

    to prepare some tea.

The porcin cups were elegant, and the rich aroma of the freshly brewed tea filled the room, bringing with it a sense of warmth and quietfort.
