Chapter 738

Elsewhere, Sky and Sierra had agreed to meet at the Lincoln Entertainment building in Dithoria. After arriving, Sky brought Sierra straight to Lincoln''s office. Once they entered the elevator, Sierra grew increasingly nervous.<fne6a0> Get full chapters from FindN0vel</fne6a0>

"Sky, do you think I have the looks required of an artist?"

Sky nced at her. Sierra wasn''t the kind of beauty who stunned people at first nce, but her features were delicate. Her face was petite and well-contoured, which appeared more attractive the longer you looked at her.

She stood at five feet five inches, with a slender figure and good proportions. She wasn''t overwhelmingly striking, but she gave off a hard-to-exin likability.

"Sierra, your appearance is perfectly fine. If thepany signs you, they''ll arrange professional training for you. You don''t need to worry," Sky said gently to assure her. "And don''t be too nervous. Lincoln already knows who you are.

"Besides, he likes hardworking and humble artists. At Lincoln''spany, it''s rare to see celebrities acting like divas. If anyone dares to throw their weight around or refuses to cooperate, they''ll find themselves without work for a long time.

"Also, Lincoln''spany doesn''t have shady hidden rules. Everyone is treated fairly and justly. Whether or not you thrive after debuting depends partly on thepany but also heavily on your own abilities.

"If Lincoln himself takes you under his wing, that would be for the best.

"But you know Lincoln. He''s already overloaded with his own work, managing thepany, and handling many artists. It''s unlikely that he''ll have much time to guide you personally."

"Then, Sky, is there even a point in you bringing me to see Lincoln?"

Facing the smooth elevator mirror, Sierra kept adjusting her clothes.

"Does my makeup look okay? And my outfit? Is there anything inappropriate about it?"

Sky watched as Sierra nervously fixed herself and couldn''t help butugh.

"There''s nothing wrong. Sierra, you look great. There''s no need to be nervous. Besides, even if you don''t end up as an artist, there are other paths you can take." Hearing this, Sierra fell silent for a long while before she finally spoke again.

"Sky, when Samuel and I were abroad, I really loved performing. I even studied acting for a while. But Samuel didn''t like me being in the spotlight. He said that women who act-even if people called them artists—are still just performers, and there''s no real dignity in it.

"Samuel hoped I''d stay at home as a housewife, raising children. But thankfully, after all these years together, I never got pregnant.

"I secretly saw a doctor. They said there was nothing wrong with me. I wanted Samuel to get checked too, but he would react so strongly every time I brought it up. He firmly believes there''s nothing wrong with him and that the timing just wasn''t right."

Sierra shed a bitter smile. "The truth is, Samuel is afraid he might be the one with the problem and pushed the me onto me.

"Most women would stay with a man even if he couldn''t have kids. But if it''s the woman who can''t conceive, many men would divorce and remarry.

"Between Samuel and me, I''m sure the problem lies with him."

"Don''t be sad," Sky said, hesitating slightly before reaching out to gently ruffle Sierra''s hair.

"Samuel won''t be staying in Dithoria much longer. You''ll be able to divorce him soon enough."

"I believe it, too. I''m sure I can divorce him sessfully," Sierra said, smiling. "Sky, thank you."

"There''s no need to thank me. With the money you entrusted to me, I''ve already selected a few investment projects for you. After we meet Lincoln, I''ll exin them in detail."

    "Okay. Thank you again, Sky."

As they talked, the elevator soon arrived at the top floor. They stepped out together, just as Shawn was walking by.

Shawn looked a little pale for some reason. When he saw Sky, he gave a slight nod.

    "Mr. Sky."

"Hello, Mr. Haines," Sky responded, leading Sierra forward.

The Walkers were all busy with their own affairs, but many of Walker Group product endorsements were handled through Lincoln''spany, so Sky was quite familiar with the ce.  s

"Is Lincoln in?" Sky called out to Shawn just before he entered the elevator.

Shawn nodded in response. "Mr. Lincoln is in his office. Mr. Sky, you can go straight in."

    "Thanks."

As the elevator doors closed, Sky withdrew his gaze and led Sierra toward Lincoln''s office.

    After knocking, they entered.

Lincoln sat behind arge executive desk, looking over the profiles of newly signed artists.

"Lincoln, I''ve brought Sierra," Sky said with a smile.

Lincoln looked up from the documents. His gazended on Sierra, and without concealing his scrutiny, he looked her up and down.

    "Her appearance is average."

Lincoln made his judgment with a faint move of his lips.

"Don''t say that." Sky stepped forward. "You said something different on the phone before."

"Sky, photos and reality can be very different," Lincoln said as he set the documents down and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I can sign Ms. Remington and arrange for teachers to train her. After three

months of training, I''ll assign her to a manager.

"But I must remind you, Sky, that Ms.

Remington''s personal issues aren''t settled yet. There might be

    considerable troubleter if you

    want tounch her career.  s

"If Ms. Remington wants a smooth andsting career in the entertainment industry, I suggest you resolve Samuel''s matter before bringing her back.

"I''m an artist and apany owner. I don''t make losing investments, Lincoln said coolly "Sky, you''re my brother but even between brothers, business is business. I prefer to be upfront about everything.

    belongs to s

"Samuel is like a mad dog, biting everyone he sees. I don''t want any trouble after signing Ms. Remington."

Hearing Lincoln''s words, Sierra instinctively nodded. "Yes, Mr. Lincoln, you''re

right. Samuel really is a mad dog who bites anyone in sight.

"I''ll handle everything beforeing to see you again. Thank you, Mr. Lincoln. Thank you, Sky."

Sierra lowered her head in a show of respect.

"I''ll head back now and deal with things as quickly as possible."

    "Okay, go ahead."

Lincoln was satisfied with Sierra''s attitude. He waved his hand, signaling her to

    leave.

"Lincoln, it''s been a while since west saw each other. Are you busy? Let''s grab

a bite to eat," Sky said, grabbing Sierra''s hand.

"Don''t leave yet. Let''s eat together first," he said to her.
