Chapter 736

Zachary looked at Sophia, his eyes soft and calm. "I remember everything you said."

Samantha''s eyes turned red as she watched the scene unfold, and she struggled to hold back her tears. After a long moment, she finally spoke again.

"I have no objections. I''ll give all of my assets to the couple as a wedding gift. But I have one request."

"Please tell us, Samantha," Luna quickly responded, affectionately addressing Samantha by her first name.

"After Sophia gets married, I want to move in with them. I''ll be part of the wedding gifts too."

"That''s no problem!" Lunaughed. "Zachary, after you get married, your mother- inw will live with you. You have no objections, right?"

Zachary shook his head. "Of course not. Even if you didn''t ask, I would have invited you to live with us."

"Then, I have nothing more to say." Samantha smiled. "As for the wedding, let the couple themselves decide. But Sophia mentioned she wants it to be simple. Is your side agreeable?"

After all, the Holt family and the Sinir family were different.

The Holt family had many business partners, and their rtives weren''t like those on the Sinir side. Zachary, as the eldest son of the Holt family and heir to Holt Group, should typically have a grand wedding. It wouldn''t look good otherwise.

But with Sophia''s past, forcing her into a significant event in front of so many people worried Samantha. She feared Sophia might not be able to handle it.

"That''s no problem," Luna said with a smile. "I still have a younger son, Zane. Speaking of him, I do have to apologize to you. I lost a bet and let Julia take advantage of the situation, leading Zane to date Ruby for a while.

"But fortunately, Zane was sensible and didn''t make any mistakes because of Ruby."

At the mention of Ruby, Samantha''s expression darkened slightly. But to be fair, Zane had never hurt Sophia or any other innocent people.

Samantha couldn''t me him, much less let that affect Zachary and Sophia''s marriage.

"The past is the past now. Let''s not bring it up anymore," Edmund said. "Today, we''re here to talk about Zachary and Sophia''s marriage. As for the wedding, let''s go with what Sophia wants."

"Zane will be having a grand wedding eventually anyway." Zachary held Sophia''s hand. "We can get the marriage certificate first, then hold a banquet to celebrate. Afterward, I n to take some time off and take Sophia on a honeymoon trip.

"Dad, Mom, you have no objections, right?"

Edmund and Luna quickly shook their heads. "No objections at all. You two can make your own decision."

    "Alright, it''s settled."

"Mother, can I take Sophia to get the marriage certificate now?" Zachary looked at Samantha, officially changing how he addressed her.

Samantha froze for a moment, then quickly nodded. "As long as Sophia is willing, I have no objections.<fnf557> Original content can be found at ?ovelFind</fnf557>

"Sophia, do you want to go?"

Sophia hesitated for a moment, then slowly nodded. "Yes."

    "I''ll get your documents."

Samantha got up and quickly returned with the documents Sophia needed to register the marriage.

"Sophia, go ahead! Pursue your happiness bravely." Samantha''s eyes turned red again. "I support you."

    "Thank you, Mom."

Sophia hugged Samantha, then turned to Zachary, holding the documents in her hands.

    "Zachary, let''s go."

"Alright." Zachary took her hand and said goodbye to the elders before the two of them left the Sinir residence.

On the drive to the courthouse, Zachary kept stealing nces at Sophia.

Noticing his gaze, Sophia couldn''t help but curve her lips into a smile.

"What is it? Why do you keep sneaking looks at me?"

"I''m just worried you might change your mind," Zachary said, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

Now that they were about to register their marriage, he was feeling a little uneasy. "Sophia, you won''t back out at thest minute, right?"

Sophia nodded firmly. "Zachary, I won''t back out. Once I''ve made a decision, I won''t change my mind.

    "Don''t worry. I won''t run away."

Zachary let out a long breath. "Then, I can rx."

Sophia felt a pang in her heart. During the course of their

rtionship, she should have been the one in the lower position, yet Zachary had always ced himself beneath her, lifting her up instead.  s

He had stayed by her side, gently guiding her from the shadows of her past.

Not only did he not despise her, but he was also worried that she would abandon

    him.

Zachary had ced himself far too humbly in their rtionship.

"Zachary, I''m truly willing to marry you. I''ll work hard to nurture our rtionship and our marriage. I''ll never betray or abandon you. Of courself one day you find

    hare

don''t love me anymore, please don''t'' hurt me. Tell me, and I won''t cling to

    you."

    s

    "Sophia, that day will nevere."

Zachary''s eyes turned slightly red. "We''ll grow old together and walk hand in hand

to the end of our time.

"When we pass away, our children willy us to rest side by side. And even after

this life ends, I''ll still hold your hand through whateveres next.

"And if there''s a next life... I want to find you sooner and grow up with you. I''ll make sure you never have to hurt again."

Sophia''s eyes were now filled with tears. She couldn''t muster a word in response.

She turned her head away, letting the tears fall freely.

Zachary always said things that made her cry uncontrobly.

"Don''t say things like that," Sophia choked out.

"We''re still so young. Why are you saying these things?"

"Alright. I won''t say it anymore." Zachary steered the car with one hand and

reached out to hold Sophia''s hand with the other.

Soon, they arrived at the courthouse.

With their documents in hand, they went inside, queued up, filled out the forms, signed their names, pressed their fingerprints on the certificate, and paid the fee.

The staff quicklypleted their marriage certificate and handed it over.

"Thank you," Zachary and Sophia said.

    "Congrattions!" the staff said cheerfully.

    "Thank you!"

Holding their marriage certificate, the couple left the courthouse.

Sophia took out her phone, snapped a photo, and posted it on Facebook.

Her caption read, "Congrattions to myself for bing Mrs. Holt. Mr. Holt, let''s

take care of each other for the rest of our lives."

Seeing her do this, Zachary also took out his phone, snapped a photo, and made

    a simr post.

    Zachary''s caption read,

    "Congrattions to myself for

bing the Sinir family''sw Mrs. Holt fet''s take care

    son

of each other for the rest of Our lives."

    s

The two looked at each other''s posts and burst outughing simultaneously.

Afterughing, Zachary called out softly, "Darling."

Sophia''s cheeks flushed. She nced around and shyly called back, "Honey."
