Chapter 729

Zachary kissed Sophia on the forehead. "Sophia, don''t feel pressured. Just go with the flow and enjoy it."

Sophia''s forehead was still warm, and a flush crept back up her cheeks. She closed her eyes and gave a small nod, not daring to look at him again.

The next second, he kissed her eyelids, and hershes fluttered open instinctively.

He finally stood up after a while. "Be good. Get some sleep."

"You too," she murmured. "Once you''re done with work, try to rest early."

"I will." He reached out to gently ruffle her hair before putting on his clothes and heading to the study. But not long after, he came back with hisptop.

He lifted the nket and climbed into bed next to her, cing hisptop on his knees. Files that had to be dealt with tonight were on the nightstand. "Sophia, lean on me while you sleep."

She blinked in surprise, not quite processing what he said right away. But soon, a small smile tugged at her lips, and she nestled into his side, finally letting herself drift off to sleep.

He dimmed the screen and tried to keep the noise down. The work was urgent, and he couldn''t put it off any longer. But there was no way he could leave her to sleep alone after spending such an intimate night together. That just wasn''t something he could do.

    Thus, he brought everything he needed for work into the bedroom.<fnd46a> ??? ????? ???????s ??? ?????s??? ?? find?novel</fnd46a>

Thankfully, she was thoughtful and sweet. She didn''tin, throw a fuss, or have any objections.

He would nce at the sleeping woman beside him from time to time.

She was already fast asleep by now. Her long hair rested softly against her

cheeks and fanned across the pillow. She looked so calm and delicate, almost too perfect to be real.

Zachary had waited a long time to see her like this. And now, he finally got his wish. Next, he wanted to introduce her to his parents, propose, and start nning the wedding.

Marcus and Natalie were already married, and Natalie was pregnant. Marcus was going to be a father soon.

Zachary wanted to be a father, too.

He wouldn''t pressure Sophia. But he wanted her to feel secure and to know that he was serious. Now that they were together, it was only natural to move toward getting engaged and married.

She used to shy away from visiting his home, too nervous to meet his parents. But now that she was wearing his ring, there was no reason to avoid it anymore.

He stared at her for a long time before finally turning his focus back to hisptop.

    ...

At around noon the next day, Zachary woke Sophia up. "Sophia, it''s time to eat."

He was already dressed in a sharp suit, freshly shaven, skin glowing from his skincare routine. His hair was clearly styled.

He lifted the nket and gently scooped her up, holding her sleepy frame in his arms. "Sleeping too long and skipping meals isn''t good for your body."

Sophia hadn''t slept this well in ages, and when he picked her up, she was still out of it. "I''m tired. I want to sleep a little longer," she mumbled.

"Sophia, you''ve been asleep for almost 11 hours now. It''s time to eat something."

Carrying her into the walk-in closet, he sat her on the plush couch inside. That morning, while she was still asleep, he had filled two-thirds of the closet with clothes in her size.

There were clothes for all seasons in various styles and colors.

"Sophia, what do you feel like wearing today?"

He sifted through the racks and asked.

She finally regained her senses and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. When she realized what she was seeing, she froze for a second. Zachary, when did you do all this This closet didn''t look like this yesterday."  s

"I arranged it this morning while you were asleep." He pulled out a simple, elegant white dress. "This one with white heels, maybe? With a light shawl in case it gets chilly. Does that sound good?"

She stared at him, still in a bit of a daze. "Yeah... Okay."

He smiled, carrying the dress over to her. "They''ve all been dry-cleaned. You can wear them right away."

"Underwear is in this row of drawers, socks in that one. Once we''re married, we''ll keep living here. It''ll be easier to take care of your mom that way."

His tone was casual, but she finally snapped out of her daze. "Zachary, are you going to marry me?"

"Of course." He gently took her hand, his fingers brushing over the ring he''d slipped on her finger the night before. "You''re already wearing my ring and promised me you wouldn''t return it.

"I''ve already called my parents. We''re going over for lunch today. They''ve been wanting to meet you for a long time now, but didn''t want to force it.

"Sophia, my family''s great. You''ve met my younger brother-he''s a total goofball. That should tell you how chill my parents are."

Her mind was spinning now. Everything was happening so fast. She and Sierra had talked about this, but they definitely didn''t think things would unfold this way.

"Don''t zone out on me now. My parents made a spread of delicious food. They''re waiting on us."

He tousled her hair again. "Come on, let me help you get dressed."

"I can do it myself!" she said quickly, a little flustered. "I''ve got it!"

"Alright." He chuckled in amusement. "I''ll grab the clothes for you."

Heid out her underwear, dress, and heels in front of her, but didn''t leave the room. He just stood there smiling.

"Zachary! Can you please go outside? I can''t change with you just standing there!"

Her cheeks, flushed bright red. Sure,

    they''d been intimate the night

before but they hadn''t turned the

lights on the whole time Taking that step didn''t mean she was ready to be totally uninhibited now,  s

"Alright." His smile widened. "I''ll wait outside."

Once Zachary stepped out, Sophia took a deep breath. She picked up the clothes and started changing. She had to admit that he had great taste the simple white dress fit her perfectly entuating her figure in all the right ces.  s

She looked sweet, graceful, and innocent.

After putting on her shoes, she walked into the bathroom. A full set of women''s toiletries had beenid out, and the skincare products from the guest room had been brought over as well.

She instantly remembered what Zachary said about them living here together after marriage, to make it easier to take care of Samantha.

Sophia picked up a cup and noticed a sticky note tucked underneath it.

She recognized his handwriting. The note read, "Sophia, loving someone means wanting to marry her, give her a home, shield her from the world, make her happy, and spoil her like a child."

Zachary really did want to marry Sophia. He had been serious about her from the start, always loving her with marriage in mind.
