Holding hands, Marcus and Natalie had yet to reach the Remington residence''s front door when Samuel appeared. He stepped forward and nodded slightly at them.
"Marcus, Ms. Walker."
"Do you know me?" Natalie was a bit surprised.
"I''m Samuel Sinir. My younger sister is Sophia Sinir. She has shown me your picture before." Samuel introduced himself. "Please follow me."
"Alright."
Marcus extended his arm, and Natalie naturally took it, walking beside him as they followed Samuel. They passed through the Remington residence''s garden and swimming pool before reaching the entrance.
"Marcus, Ms. Walker, pleasee in." Samuel politely gestured for them to enter. Marcus and Natalie nodded slightly and stepped inside together.
Jonathan and Melissa were dressed in new outfits. Sierra wore a modern red dress, and her hair was elegantly pinned up with a decorative pin, making her look graceful and refined.
It was Natalie''s first time meeting Samuel and Sierra. Samuel and Sophia shared simr facial features, but his contours were sharper, giving him a strong and
heroic appearance.
Dressed in a ck suit, his movements exuded an innate elegance. However, there was a faintyer of sorrow that often surfaced between his brows.
Whenever he looked at Sierra, his eyes were filled with concern.
"Mr. Holden, you''re here." Jonathan''s eyes were visibly red as he hurried forward, pulling Melissa along. "Melissa, this is the benefactor I told you about, Marcus Holden. Cee,e quickly and greet our benefactor."
Jonathan''s voice trembled with emotion. He and Melissa were one step away from groveling to Marcus.
"Mr. Holden, thank you. If it weren''t for you, Melissa and I would have gone to our graves without ever seeing our daughter again. Cee, hurry and thank our benefactor."
"Thank you, Mr. Holden." Sierra obediently bowed to him. She had already done a DNA test with Jonathan and Melissa, confirming that they were indeed her biological parents.
Her residential address was being processed, and once her new ID was issued, she would officially change her name to Sierra Remington.
"Mr. Holden, thank you. I thought I would never find my biological parents in this lifetime. I never expected to reunite with them. I truly appreciate it."
Tears welled up in Sierra''s eyes. Over the years, she had lived abroad with Samuel, but deep down, she had always longed for her homnd.
However, because Samuel despised Ivan''s messy rtionships and the toxic environment of the Sinir residence, he had never brought her back.
Although Samuel took great care of her, and their life abroad wasfortable, she always felt empty deep down. Now that she was back in Amberton, she knew that emptiness would finally be filled the moment she saw Jonathan and Melissa.
"Mr. Holden, thank you so much." She lifted her head, her teary eyes shimmering as her voice choked with emotion. Though she had been adopted by Samantha and given thest name of Sinir, she still remembered everything from before.
She knew she had been kidnapped. She had nearly been crippled and forced to beg on the streets. It was only by taking a desperate gamble that she managed to escape from those monstrous traffickers.
When Samantha arranged for her to go abroad with Samuel, she exined the risks and benefits. Sierra had nodded without hesitation, terrified that she might be taken again if she stayed in Dithoria City.
This was especially true since Julia had already embedded herself in the Sinir residence. Samantha feared that Julia might harm both her and Samuel, so she sent them away while she still had the means to support them.
Meanwhile, Sophia, the Sinir family''s daughter who was the same age as Sierra, was left behind.
Sierra and Samuel rarely contacted
the Sinir family while abroad,
though Samantha always kept an
eye on them from afar. But Samuel was deeply displeased when he once discovered this, so she eventually stopped.
Then, out of the blue, Samuel received a call from Marcus, informing him that he had found Sierra''s biological parents and that they needed to return home for a reunion.
That was how she and Samuel made their way back.
"We''ve already done the DNA test. I really am my parents'' daughter." Her eyes were still red as she spoke.
The moment Jonathan and Melissa met her at the airport, they had burst into tears and embraced her tightly, even before doing the test.
They were convinced she was their daughter. Still, to be certain, they had immediately gone for a DNA test.
"Mr. Holden, thank you." She bowed to Marcus once again. "Thank you for reuniting our family while we are all still alive."
"Ms. Sinir, there''s no need to be
so formal, Marcus responded with
polite detachment. "I simply did
what could. It all happened
because Mr. and Mrs. Remington had done a lot of good deeds.
"Mr. Remington helped me in my moment of crisis. In fact, it should be me thanking him right now."
"Mr. Holden, don''t say that." Jonathan wiped his eyes. "Those medicinal herbs meant nothing to me. Finding my daughter was all that mattered.
"Come, let''s sit down. We''ll drink to our hearts'' content today! Even though this is a reunion banquet for Sierra, I didn''t invite anyone else aside from you and Ms. Walker.
"Over the years, some people in my family have been eyeing me and my wife like wolves, simply because we had no children. Now that I''ve found my daughter, they''re even more displeased. They''re looking for any chance to get rid of the three of us."
As Jonathan spoke, he suddenly mmed his hand on the table. "I may be old,
but I''m no coward!
"Even if I die, I will make sure my wife''s and daughter''s futures are secure. Cee, don''t be afraid. I''ll protect you for sure."
Sierra nodded. "Dad, I''m all grown up now. I will protect you and Mom too." "My sweetheart," he cooed.
He then turned to Marcus and Natalie, saying, "Mr. Holden, Ms. Walker, please have some food."
Jonathan poured a drink for Marcus and Natalie. "Mr. Holden, here''s a toast to you. If not for you, our family would not have reunited.
"Melissa''s health has been deteriorating for many years. Every time I visited her, she would cry and ask if I had found our daughter. She was afraid she would die before ever seeing her again.
"But we were lucky. We found our daughter, and Melissa''s getting better now."
As he spoke, Melissa couldn''t hold back her tears. She sobbed while wiping them
away.
"Jon, stop crying. We must live long and well for Sierra''s sake. We haven''t seen her getting married and haven''t taken care of our grandchildren. There''s still a long way to go."
"Yes, indeed." Jonathan hurriedly wiped his tears as he agreed with Melissa. "We''ll live long lives and be there for Sierra for many years toe."
