Chapter 509

The music flowed from the grand piano—sometimes like a wild, crashing tide battering the rocky shore, other times as gentle as a mountain stream winding through quiet woods.

In that moment, Victor radiated an undeniable maism that sent a subtle tremor through Isadora''s heart.

When the final note faded, Victor''s dark gaze lingered on Isadora from across the room. A wicked curve yed at his lips as he crooked a finger in her direction. "Come here."

She moved toward him, almost bewitched, her heartbeat thundering in her ears.

A momentter, Victor''s long, deft fingers were tracing their own chaotic melody across her soft skin-a song meant for just the two of them.

Isadora had grown fond of their bedroom in the vi.

Victor had designed it with special touches just for her. The ceiling could transform into a transparent ss dome, revealing a vast expanse of stars overhead. Lying in bed, they could watch the night sky sparkle infort and peace.

On clear days, she''d step out onto the small European-style balcony, gazing out at the city''s skyline. In the distance, the iconic Fitzgerald Group tower stood tall.

Finley once suggested gifting them a newborn Samoyed puppy as a wedding present.

But both Victor and Isadora declined.

    Pudding was simply irreceable.

As Isadora''s pregnancy progressed, her belly grew rounder and she found herself sleeping more and spending most of her days at home.

A nutritionist, housekeeper, doctor, and wellness coach were constantly by her side.

Eleanor stopped by every few days to check in.

It felt as if Isadora had be a rare and protected species-pampered and cared for by everyone around her.

These days, Victor often came home to find her already asleep in bed. He''d tread softly, bend down to kiss her forehead, tuck the nket around her, and then slip away to his study to work.

When his work was done, Victor would return and hold her close through the night.

But today, Isadora had finally had enough of being cooped up. She called up Nte for a little outing-to get some fresh air and browse the shops.

They ended up in a boutique for babies.

Truth be told, the nursery at home was already overflowing with clothes for both boys and girls.

But none of those outfits had been chosen by Isadora herself.

She wanted to experience the joy of picking things out for her baby.

Lifting a tiny onesie, she turned to Nte. "What do you think? Is this cute?"

Nte knew nothing about baby clothes, but she thought the little bunnies on the front were adorable. "It''s sweet."

Isadora ced the onesie into her basket and continued browsing.

She spotted a tiny dress shirt, plete with a miniature gentleman''s bowtie. "How about this one?"

Nte''s curiosity was piqued. Isadora had just picked a girl''s outfit, and now she was eyeing something for a boy. "So, do you think it''s a boy or a girl this time? Have you found out yet?"

A gentle warmth softened Isadora''s features as she smiled. "We haven''t checked. Victor says he''d love a girl."

Nte teased, "Isadora, do you even realize how many times you''ve mentioned Victor since we started shopping?"

    "Have I?"

"Oh, trust me. Do you want me to start counting? You''re glowing, Mrs. Fitzgerald." Isadora''s cheeks flushed a rosy pink.

After paying for their purchases, the two friends strolled out of the mall

at a leisurely pace. ncing up, they

    spotted the Fitzgerald Group

building rising above the city n the distance.

Nte nudged her. "They say the Fitzgerald Group is one of Capitolion''sndmarks. Since you''re married to the CEO, can''t you take me inside for a tour? Maybe@heck up on your husband while you''re at it?"  shovel

Isadora had only been inside the Fitzgerald Group on official business or when

Victor brought her along. Otherwise, she''d never really visited.

"Victor''s probably busy with work. It might not be a good time."

Nte waved her off. "Nonsense! You''re Mrs. Fitzgerald now. Come on, let''s go!"

Unable to argue, Isadora let Nte drag her toward the building.
