Chapter 1327

    ?Chapter 1327:

A chilling thought burst into her consciousness, threatening to swallow her whole.

Refusing to believe it, Sadie dropped her eyes and shook her head, desperate to chase the idea away.

No, there was no way. It couldn’t be true!

Emerson caught sight of her ashen face, concern etched in every line.

He reached out, meaning to gently tousle her hair.

“My dear, I am your biological father.”

The words mmed into Sadie, knocking the wind out of herst hope. Without thinking, she stepped back, smacking Emerson’s hand away. “Don’t lie to me! My father is Dederick Hudson. The only father I’ve ever known. You can’t possibly be him!”

A weary sigh escaped Emerson as he let his hand fall, resignation heavy in his voice. “Sadie, please, just hear me out. The truth isplicated, and I don’t expect you to ept it right away. But I am your father, whether you believe it or not.”

He fell silent for a moment, his eyes growing distant as memories surfaced.

“Your mother yed a vital role at NE’s main office in Zupren,” Emerson began quietly. “Back then, the Wolfpack worked closely with NE, and she was the bridge between the two groups. As we spent more time together, friendship turned into love. But then everything fell apart. NE copsed almost overnight, and the Lawson family, who backed NE, faced disaster. It hit your mother hard. She broke all contact, cut me out of her life, and returned home alone. Not long after, word reached me that she was marrying into the Hudson family. I had no idea she was carrying you. I just assumed Brenda wanted nothing more to do with me, so I let her go.” He paused, sorrow pressing into each word. “Thest I ever heard of her was five years ago, a brief message about her death. I couldn’t ept it, so I went to bring her ashes here. I found a child’s toy near her urn, and that was how I finally learned you existed.”

Emerson’s words caught in his throat, his voice growing thick with emotion.

“Sadie, I’m sorry. I should have found you sooner.”

Hesitantly, he reached out and set his hand on Sadie’s shoulder, longing to offerfort.

Sadie’s brow furrowed as she processed his story.

Listening to Emerson, she almost wanted to believe he was simply a heartbroken man who’d been left in the dark all these years.

But none of it matched the image she had of her mother, a woman far too practical, never the type to lose herself in a romance.

And why had her mother hidden her existence for seventeen years, never once telling Emerson about her?

Sadie’s thoughts circled back to the exclusive patent issue she already knew about.

Whatever this was, Sadie felt it was less of a long-awaited reunion and more like a carefully orchestrated scheme.

Chaos churned inside Sadie’s mind, leaving her overwhelmed. She hadn’t even begun to process everything when the door flew open with a bang.

White Tiger burst in, sweat beading on his brow, his frantic energypletely at odds with the calm room.
