    Amir pushed me behind him the moment we heard someone scream and I have been watching Morgan in awe, that girl can fight.


    Okay, I know that Amra is helping her, but still, he is a damn good fighter. She broke the Idiot’s nose and I hear Echo chuckle in my head, like me, she is enjoying the show<i>. </i>


    We are still trying to make sense of what just happened when the next Idiot shows up this time all the guests are in for a surprise.

    I feel it the moment someone steps behind me and I know it isn’t one of my new friends, so 1 turn around as fast as possible. Surprising the shit out whoever the Idiot is and his head lowers as he grabs my arms tightly,


    Oh, no. He is not going to forcefully mark me in front of everyone, not with my Mate right behind me and I m my forehead against his nose.


    He takes a step back, giving Echo all the room she needs to force a shift, shing one of her ws down his leg. Blood is oozing from the wound, but Echo won’t let him off so easily and charges at him at full speed.

    “Alpha Paul signed his death warrant trying to forcefully mark Mateja, she has my


    permission to end his life.” I hear King Damon announce to the guests and every member of the King’s Army.


    The Alpha looks up at me and it is clear that he hadn’t expected to hear King Damon say a different name, he probably thought that I was Giselle.


    “King <i>Damon</i><i>, </i>he thought <i>I </i><i>was </i>Giselle. <i>You </i><i>still </i>want <i>him </i>dead?” I ask, because it might not be the best thing to do. What if he told anyone else about his n or why he wanted Giselle as his Mate?


    Echo stalks towards Alpha Paul and ces her paw on his chest, pressing down until she hears the cracking of his ribs. She lifts her paw slightly, but not enough for him to get away from us and if King Damon doesn’t tell us to stand down, he will be dead in minutes.

    “We will take care of him for the moment, once we have what we need, he is all yours, Echo.”


    Echo lifts her paw even more, before she pulls it back while her w runs down his stomach. He screams as she cuts through his flesh, not deep enough to kill him but deep enough for it to hurt like hell.


    Amir steps next to us and Echo moves her head against his chest, leaning closer as his hand slides through her fur. She loves the feeling of his hand running through her fur and we have spent quite a few hours in our room with us in Echo’s form, while we were discussing whatever came up.


    “Echo, why don’t you follow me? I think we have a backup dress for Mateja, you have just enough time to change before dinner.” Yara says and Echo follows her out of the room to head up the stairs.


    Amir doesn’t release Echo’s fur, he just walks with us up to the King’s floor and reluctantly lets go when we stand in front of a door.


    “We will be right out, Amir. It won’t take long.” Yara says as she opens the door, and after Echo gently pushes Amir, he finally lets go of her fur. Allowing us to walk into the room and on the bed is the exact same dress we had just torn to shreds.


    “This isn’t the first time someone shifted during a party, so we always have two dresses if it involves a Ceremony. Not that anyone knows about that little rule though or everyone might know what is about to happen after dinner.” Yara says with a smile on her face.


    “Let’s just hope that no one else will try toe after Giselle or I am going to have to find another dress to wear.” I tell Yara after Echo has allowed me to shift back to my Human form.


    Amir wraps his arms around me to bury his face in my neck, he and Matrius need to calm down and this is the fastest way for Mates. I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to my body and we just stand there for a few seconds.


    “Okay, dinner will be served in five minutes. We are taking the elevator down, or everyone will be waiting for our arrival.” Yara says as she walks to the elevator.


    Amir holds me close <i>to </i>his side during the ride down and I smile when I see Clover and Zeke waiting for us as the elevator doors open. Clover steps to my other side and Zeke holds her hand while we walk into the ballroom.
