    A scream wakes me up in the middle of the night and I know that Mateja will remember everything she forgot.

    Clover exined that she would scream at first<b>, </b>a reaction to the poison being administered and then she will get her memories back, slowly but in reverse.


    There is nothing I can do for her, nothing other than holding her and I will hold her for as long as it takes, then I will hold her for the rest of my life if she needs me to and even if she doesn’t need me to hold her.


    I keep an eye on her face, I need to see how she is feeling and not just feel her emotions through our bond. The first few minutes ! feel anger, pain and sadness through our bond and then I feel calm,fort, love and many other emotions.


    This might take an hour or multiple hours, depending on how many memories she needs to restore in her mind.


    Matrius is near the surface, keeping an eye on our Mate, not that he doesn’t trust me but he needs it to keep himself calm. He can feel that Echo is going through the same emotions, she is seeing these memories for the first time and we are both relieved that most are happy memories.


    Only the memory of the poison, of her Mother’s betrayal, was painful to both of them, and now they are both a lot calmer.


    I feel someone pushing against the block I had pulled up after walking out of the main building and I lower it to allow whoever it is to get through.

    From time to time, I doze off but I never fall asleep. I want to be awake when Mateja wakes up and tell her that I love her, that I will always be here when she needs me.


    After he knocks on the door, Pedro links me before he opens the door. A mug with coffee in his hand, a smile on his face and a spark n his eyes.


    ‘My mate will be here shortly with breakfast.” Pedro says with the biggest smile on his face and I can’t wait to see who his Mate <b>is</b>.


    “Hello, Commander. How is Mateja doing?” Flora, one of Morgan’s team Captains, asks as she walks into my room <b>with </b><b>a </b>tray filled with breakfast.


    “Still asleep, but this time it is really sleep. I think she has regained all of her memories, but she will let me know when she is ready.” I answer flora and as they walk out of my room, I congratte them on their Mate bond.


    I am halfway through my breakfast when Mateja starts to stir and ce my mug with coffee on the nightstand


    She snuggles into my chest before her eyes slowly open, a blush spreading across her cheeks and I kiss her on the top <b>of </b><b>her </b>head. Sliding down a little to pull her on my chest and I continue where we left aftst night.

    We go another round in the shower, before she tells me that she can barely stand and I lift her in my arms to ce her on the counter. I grab a towel to dry her off, before I ce her back on the bed and walk into my closet to grab a small bag I hid in the back of my closet.


    “I hope this fits.” I say as I ce the bag beside her. “I had to apany Luanna and Yara on a shopping trip and when I saw this! thought of you.”


    She looks from the bag to me and I don’t think twice, “I love you, Mateja. You are mine and I am never letting you go.”


    Tears form in her eyes as she grabs my hand and pulls me onto the bed on her other side, “I love you too, Amir. You have saved me in more ways than one and you are stuck with me.”


    We both get dressed, while I kiss her every chance I get. Sometimes she gently pushes me away from her, sometimes Mateja takes the initiative and kisses me.


    Pedro and Zeke are waiting for us outside the building near the SUV, Mateja will stay at the Pce until the Introduction Ceremony has taken ce. We don’t want anyone to mistake her for Giselle or vice versa, because Prince Casimir and I both have enemies and neither is willing to take a risk with our Mate.


    “Commander, Flora and I will stay with Mateja when you have to attend a meeting at the Academy or if you have to go on an assignment. I already talked to the Elders about it and I didn’t take No for an answer.” Clover states.


    I stare at Clover for a second, no one in their right mind would go against the Elders and here is a girl that was considered tock the skills to be in the King’s Army. Yet she is the one that told the Elders how things were going to go and damn the consequences.


    I look at Zeke, who is smiling from ear to ear<b>, </b>while his arms are wrapped around Clover’s waist and I know that he witnessed the whole ordeal with the Elders.


    “Let’s go to the Pce, Casimir has linked me four times already. He doesn’t like that Mateja isn’t in the safe parameters of the Pce.” Pedro says and now I am a little confused, until I look at my Mate.


    Yeah, she might be marked but that has never kept a femalepletely safe. With Mateja and Giselle looking alike, we can’t and won’t take any chances<i>. </i>Both of them are safest within the Pce walls until Giselle has been introduced as our future Queen.
