By the time I walk out of my bedroom, I can hear my team talking about the case.

‘Why did King Damon choose us to go after this guy? Why doesn’t he send Commander Morgan after him?” I hear Matias ask.
‘Because King Damon wants Lucas to feel safe and with Morgan at the Pce nning for an Introduction Ceremony, he will assume that no one ising after him at this time.” I reply as I walk into the living room.
Pedro and Zeke are sitting at the table with theirptops in front of them, both of them have papers lying next to theirptops.
Neither one of them looks up as they call out a greeting and I ept the coffee Wade holds in front of me. I see even more papers on the coffee table and there are sticky notes attached to almost every paper, it looks like they already have a lot of questions.
“Okay, let’s start with the questions you have.” I say, before I take a sip from my coffee.
Wade grabs a handful of papers from the table and starts with the surveince reports on Lucas. Seems like we are going to find out if Liam has something to hide or if Lucas outsmarted him.
“These reports started after Giselle’s ability surfaced for the first time, Liam sent a team of unmated males after him. About three months into the surveince Liam had to pull the team, Lucas had spotted one of them and killed him with a message attached to his chest.” Wade says.

I am staring at a copy of the note, and I wonder how they gave themselves away.
“Does it say how Lucas discovered his tail?” I ask Wade, who is still holding on to a lot of papers.
“Yeah, turns out that Lucas has a thing for males. He can walk past the same female a hundred times without remembering her face, but if he passes a male once he will always remember the face. Liam tested it by having Lucas followed by a female for three days and a female team has been tailing him ever since.” Wade reads from a paper.
“Hold on. He has a thing for males, but wants to forcefully mark a female to get the Throne!” Pedro exims.
“She wouldn’t be his fated Mate, so he could just keep her to produce an heir and take a male to keep his desires fulfilled.” I reply.
It makes sense that Lucas would do this, because after a forceful marking their bond would be the same as that of a chosen Mate and a chosen Mate doesn’t feel it when they get cheated on.
The only time there could be a problem is if Lucas found his fated Mate, because his fated Mate would feel the pain and that <b>is </b><b>if </b>his fated Mate didn’t reject him for taking a female as his Mate. Maybe he had already found his fated mate and rejected him or her himself to make it easier for himself.
There are a lot of questions that we have no answers to and we may never find those answers, not that I am very interested in those answers.
“So, the challenge we have is to get close to Lucas‘ location. How are we going to do that?” Wade asks.
That is a very legitimate question and we need to make it believable to anyone that runs into us, but how do we aplish that?

“Let’s see if there are any cases in or near the ce Lucas wasst seen at; maybe we can find a case that involves many different Packs and go from there. It would at least give us a reason to be traveling around.” I say.
Pedro calls Elder Emmett to find out if the Academy can provide us with a rouse to get into Lucas‘ vicinity, I don’t pay much attention to the conversation as I read through some of the surveince reports.
Lucas keeps to himself most of the time, but there are three males that he is seen with regrly and there is a reverence to files on each male.
He has moved four times since Giselle started to show signs of her ability, but he never moved to a ce that was close to Onyx Star Pack. He took every precaution he could to stay undetected, but he did underestimate the members of Giselle’s bloodline and their determination to protect any female with a gift.
His routines were always the same after moving to a new ce, at first he would wander around to get to know his surroundings and then he would fall into a daily routine that held no pattern to the untrained eye.
“Wade, take a look at his routines. I want a schedule for his movements that covers three weeks and make sure it covers every movement, no matter how insignificant it might seem.” I say without looking up.
I believe that with this schedule, we will be able to find a pattern that we can follow without Lucas being the wiser. It will take us some time to make anyone believe that we belong there and for Lucas to start ignoring us.
“Amir, we have a way in.” Pedro says, while holding up his tablet. “There have been a few missing person reports over the past fifteen years and the Elders seem to think that there might be a connection between the cases, thest person to go missing is from the town that Lucas is currently staying in.”
“Dig into each of their pasts and see where they connect. Get me the personal information of the person that reported them missing and a full background check on their family and friends.” I reply.
It will give us something to do until we can move to Bellwich, a town that is a two–hour drive from the Academy and a four–hour drive from Onyx Star Pack and Blue River Pack.
Lucas made a wish choice when he picked Bellwich to settle down in, but he won’t find what he is looking for and I will make sure that he ends up in a cell. A very dark cell in the farthest corner of the Pce dungeons that we can find and then I might throw away the key.
