Chapter 1425

    ?Chapter 1425:

“The wardrobe might be better,” Joanna countered thoughtfully. Susanna nced at the safe perched on a cab. “Norah, is the safe empty? We could tuck them in there!”

The four of them exchanged ideas with growing enthusiasm.

Norah, however, wasn’t in the mood for a prolonged debate. Pointing to the safe, she said, “Let’s just hide them there.”

She set the password herself, smirking at the thought that if Sean couldn’t figure it out, well, that would be his problem.

With the shoes safely stashed, Norah took her ce at the center of the bed. Her dress spread around her like a perfect circle, while the bridesmaids carefully adjusted her headpiece and skirt to make sure every detail was wless.

At exactly eight o’clock, Sean arrived at Wilson Manor with his groomsmen and an entourage of family and friends.

Though he kept aposed exterior, a flicker of nervous excitement betrayed him as he asked, “Is everything ready?”

Phillip lifted the basket in his hand, while Duncan and Bryson stood beside him, each holding identical baskets filled with gifts. “They’re all here—plenty for everyone,” Phillip said confidently. Today was the wedding day, and the wealthy Scott family spared no expense. Each gift basket was worth a small fortune, with the total cost running into tens of thousands.

K stood nearby, adorned in a sharp white groomsman suit that contrasted perfectly with his silver hair. His usual intimidating aura seemed slightly softer today.

“It’s rare to see you this nervous, Sean,” he teased. K had been called in as ast-minute groomsman. Jaxson, the original choice, had bowed out due to othermitments.

Sean, visiblyposed on the outside, adjusted his suit and scoffed, “What do you guys who’ve never been married know, huh?”

Sean was the first among his friends to get married, and they couldn’t possibly understand the emotions that coursed through him.

As cheers erupted from the crowd, Sean walked through the grand entrance. He easily navigated the vi’s decorated halls, heading straight for Norah’s bedroom.

Every corner of the vi was decorated with balloons and flowers, and everyone wore joyful smiles.

When he reached the door, Sean knocked firmly and called, “Honey, I’m here to pick you up.”

Leaning against the other side of the door, Susanna smirked. Despite it being her brother on the other side, she didn’t hold back her teasing. “Oh, so you think one sentence will make Norahe out? Dream on!” The bridesmaids, standing guard at the door, giggled and chimed in.

“Words won’t cut it! You’ll have to prove yourself.”

“Exactly! Getting married isn’t this easy!”

Sean nced at Phillip, signaling him to handle his cheeky sister and her squad. He was eager—no, desperate—to see his beloved wife.

Phillip and the others quickly began handing out thevish gifts.

“Susanna, take this and let us through, alright?”

“Joanna, this is for you—now, can wee in?”

After muchughter and teasing, the bridesmaids finally relented, letting the group through.
