?Chapter 1358:
Norah offered Ka someforting words before standing up and opening the door. Noticing the worried expressions of those waiting outside, she reassured the Scotts with a smile.
“Everything is fine now. Would you like to hear Ka y the piano? It’s truly enchanting.”
Inside the room, Ka sat poised at the piano bench, her fingers gracefully dancing across the keys, weaving a tapestry of beautiful notes. The listeners at the door stood quietly, their faces reflecting a mix of nostalgia and admiration. The music’s vitality and energy were palpable, signaling a hopeful change.
Sean sped Norah’s hand tightly, their fingers intertwined.
“Honey, thank you.”
“There’s no need for thanks between us. Your mom seems rejuvenated. Let’s look forward to her performance.”
Norah thought to herself, amused by the prospect of perhaps having a piano virtuoso as a mother-inw in the future.
As she descended the stairs, she noticed a stack of papers on a desk near the living room, plete with ink and a pen. Rodrigo was there, energetically writing characters with his right hand. Norah paused and, drawn by the sight, quietly approached to watch him practice his calligraphy.
Sean had mentioned Matteo’s new hobby of calligraphy, but she hadn’t expected Rodrigo to be so advanced in his skills.
Rodrigo wrote a line of poetry, his strokes bold and fluid, the ink deeply saturating the paper.
“Excellent calligraphy,” Norah eximed, her eyes sparkling with appreciation. “I didn’t know you practiced calligraphy, Rodrigo. Your technique is both skilled and graceful—truly impressive.”

Having studied art, Norah could discern the nuances of calligraphy.
“It’s been too long since Ist wrote regrly. My skills are a bit rusty,” Rodrigo remarked, setting down his pen and surveying his work with a critical eye, his expression tinged with disappointment. This was Matteo’s usual spot for practicing calligraphy, and seeing the setup, Rodrigo had feltpelled to scribble a few characters.
Norah chuckled. “I imagine your usual writing must be even more impressive. Even if it’s slightly rusty, it doesn’t diminish its beauty. It reminds me of a virtuoso’s work.”
Rodrigo beamed at thepliment. “I just wrote them casually; they don’t deserve such high praise.”
Sean had noticed that whenever Norah aimed topliment someone, she always managed to make them very happy. His entire family had sumbed to Norah’s charm.
Descending the stairs hand in hand with Ka, Matteo remarked, “It seems you have a keen insight into calligraphy. Would you like to demonstrate your skills, Norah?”
Calligraphy had the power to uplift the spirit and calm the mind when one felt restless. Matteo himself was devoted to the art, having apprenticed under a master to refine his skill. He enjoyed calligraphy as a casual hobby, unlike Norah, who used ttery to delight Rodrigo, a contrast to his more earnest approach.
If Norah were aware of Matteo’s thoughts, she would likely find them amusing. Her admiration for Rodrigo’s calligraphy was genuine; evenpared to masters, his writing held its own.
