?Chapter 1450:
Inside the room, a group of people turned their heads at the sound of Eileen’s entrance, their faces breaking into knowing smiles that made her skin prickle.
Jacob’s voice cut through the silence. “You and Bryan really know how to have fun, huh, Eileen? Bringing a bed to this ce?” Phoebe also teased, “Even if you two really want to do something in bed in front of us, we’re too shy to watch!”
Heat crept up Eileen’s cheeks, thankfully hidden by the room’s dim lighting. She quickly responded, “Stop talking nonsense.”
Her eyes searched for Bryan, the mastermind behind this bed arrangement. How could he have actually arranged a bed here? Did he expect her to enjoy the party on this bed, with everyone watching?
“If anyone has objections, other rooms are avable.” Bryan’s stern voice left no room for argument as his gaze swept the room. The people in the room immediately changed their attitudes.
“Noints here—this is perfect.”
“How thoughtful of Mr. Dawson for doing this!”
Jacob gestured toward the edge of the bed. “We sacrificed a sofa for this setup, so seating’s limited. Eileen, you and Bryan can sit on the bed.”
“I don’t think—” Eileen began, but Jacob waved her protests away. “No need to exin. We understand—given the space constraints, you two have no choice but to use the bed.”
Before Eileen could respond, Bryan shoved Jacob aside. He then guided Eileen to the bed, arranging pillows and nkets behind her with meticulous care.

Though Eileen was initially self-conscious,fort soon overtook her embarrassment.
“This bed is actually quitefortable,” she admitted, patting the mattress.
“Is it?” Bryan asked. “Should we move it to our bedroomter?”
Eileen was caught off guard by his earnest response. “No need—I’m perfectly happy with our bed at home.”
“We’ll store this bed for future use then,” Bryan said.
Eileen massaged her temples, avoiding the amused nces from her friends.
“Alright, lovebirds, you two can stop,” Phoebe said, turning to everyone in the room. “It’s past seven—let’s get this party started before Eileen actually dozes off.”
Jacob dragged Bryan away to y billiards, leaving Eileen to y cards with Phoebe.
“This can’t be easy for you,” Phoebe said to Eileen. “Maybe have a word with your husband? You can stay home and avoid going out for the next few months.”
Phoebe cast a meaningful nce at the door. “Everyone’s been sneaking peeks since we arrived, drawn to the bed here.”
Running her fingers through her hair, Eileen shot Bryan an exasperated look. “I didn’t expect him to actually put a bed in here.”
Phoebe shook her head with a sigh. “Since the bed is already here, you might as well enjoy it.”
Eileen’s embarrassment deepened as she recalled the server’s strange expression when he had led her to the room.
“Join our game,” Phoebe beckoned to Dalores. “Do you know how to y this card game?”
