    “Yeah,” Bryan replied. “Amoura probably already knows we’re onto her. Today, Javier disrupted two of our projects, and it happened right after he met with Amoura.”


    The timing of Javier’s actions,ing right after his meeting with Amoura, raised Bryan’s suspicions.


    It seemed Amoura had panicked and chosen to strike first. While she might not be able to take them downpletely, she aimed to diminish their strength and stabilize the Deleon family’s position.


    Then, if she made a mistake, she could lean on the Deleon family’s resources to recover.


    “Then we have to take actions,” Eileen said, revealing that the fake Colby was renting an apartment in one of Phoebe’s buildings. “Even if we can’t get someone to share his apartment, we can have someone live in the apartment below his to monitor him.”


    Bryan advised, “You can manage this if you like, but keep out of thepany’s direct confrontations and don’t engage with Amoura personally.”


    His hand gently touched Eileen’s slightly rounded belly. He believed they couldn’t risk any mishaps.


    If Amoura were to act out of desperation, there was no telling what she might do.


    “I’ll operate from behind the scenes, just issuingmands. I have people who can handle these matters for me,” Eileen assured him.


    Even if she weren’t expecting, she wouldn’t have involved herself directly in such matters.


    However, Eileen hadn’t anticipated that Amoura would seek her out personally.


    The Deleon family’s invitation reached the office just moments before the workday wrapped up. Raymond carried the envelope in, saying, “Amoura and Javier are celebrating their first anniversary. It’s a small gathering, and they’ve made sure to invite you personally.”

    Eileen dismissed it quickly. “I am not going. They’ve only been together for a year. What’s even worth celebrating?”


    “It’s happening in the Deleon family garden, and from what I gathered, quite a crowd will be there,” Raymond said, having looked into the event as soon as he got the invitation. “It’s nothing too fancy—just some socialites meeting up to chat and y cards. But it’s a great opportunity forworking.”


    “If I show up, I’ll kill the whole vibe,” Eileen said dryly. “Everyone will flock to me, and there’s no point in stealing the spotlight like that.”


    She had promised Bryan she wouldn’t make any public appearances, and besides, Amoura’s unpredictability made the event too risky for her to attend.


    “I figured you wouldn’t go,” Raymond said, setting the invitation aside. “But I epted it anyway. Whether you show up or not, she can’t do much about it.”


    Eileen cast a quick look at the invitation and said tly, “Sell it.” Raymond blinked, caught off guard.


    “Lots of people would jump at a chance to get into an event like this to make connections,” Eileen exined, her tone sharp. “The invite isn’t even personalized. Charge twenty thousand for it.”


    Excitement surged through Raymond. “That’s genius! Your knack for staying a step ahead is every bit as sharp as Mr. Dawson’s.”


    Raymond shot Eileen a grin, grabbed the invitation, and hurried off.
