Chapter 1385

    ?Chapter 1385:

The manager said, “Youngdy, it seems you’re not used to shopping in luxury boutiques like ours. People like you usually don’t wander in without knowing the rules. All of our clients are either wealthy or influential. This sportswear has been on disy for three days, untouched—our customers understand the rule. Maybe it’s time you reflect on your own behavior?” Her tone wasced with sharp sarcasm.

Since Bailee and Eileen had gone their separate ways upon entering the store, no one knew they were together. Mistaking Bailee for a lone, insignificant shopper, the store manager considered her an easy target and chose to shift the me onto her.

“What’s the problem with her behavior?” Eileen strolled out leisurely, her coat draped over her arm, the soft knit of her dress subtly hiding her pregnant belly.

The color drained from the store manager’s face. She hurried over and said, “Mrs. Dawson, I apologize that you had to witness this. We’ll take care of it right away. Please—”

Eileen didn’t wait for her to finish. She swept past her and positioned herself next to Bailee, locking eyes with Amoura.

Holding Amoura’s gaze for a few seconds, Eileen finally turned to the manager. “You said items here can’t be touched unless purchased. Funny—I didn’t know that. Should I go ahead and buy the two suits I just touched?”

“Oh, no… That’s not necessary,” the manager said, her face flushed as her eyes flickered between Eileen and Bailee. “Mrs. Dawson, you and Mrs. Deleon know each other. Why don’t you both head to the lounge for a coffee?”

“You’re aware that I know Mrs. Deleon, but do you know this woman is my sister?” Eileen’s icy stare bore down on the store manager.

The store manager’s face turned pale instantly.

Eileen continued, “I couldn’t care less about whatever promises you made to your customers—that’s your problem. Since you failed to put up notices or remind people not to touch the items, that’s on you. Take Mrs. Deleon inside and sort this out however you need to. There’s no reason for us to stick around any longer.”

Eileen then grabbed Bailee by the wrist and led her toward the exit.

Panic spread across the store manager’s face.

“Mrs. Dawson and her sister are not even blood-rted. You think she’s going to drop hundreds of thousands to clean up this mess for her? No. So, the me falls squarely on you.” Amoura’s smug voice only escted things. She leaned in slightly, a smirk ying on her lips as she said to the manager, “Now, let’s talk about how you n topensate me.”

Eileen felt frustrated hearing that—exining anything to Amoura was pointless, though her words were undeniably infuriating.

As if struck by a sudden idea, Eileen pulled out her phone and took several pictures of Amoura.

She said, “Mrs. Deleon, is this sportswear meant for Mr. Deleon? Wow, you really do have an interesting sense of style. Does he wear this kind of outfit just for you at home? Because I’ve never seen him wear anything like this out in public.”

Amoura frowned. “That’s none of your business. Delete those photos—this is meant to be a surprise for my husband.”

Upon hearing this, Eileen took photos with even greater diligence. “I’m not a romantic, and I can’t stand seeing others happier than me. I won’t delete these photos. In fact, I’ll send them to Mr. Deleon right now and ask if he likes the outfit you picked for him. But…”
