?Chapter 1358:
“I can only give you the money,” Amoura responded firmly. “No ce to stay. If the Deleon family finds out I’ve given you money, it will already be difficult for me to exin. I can’t let you live in one of my properties.” She owned two houses in Onnd, both acquired after her arrival. One was already upied. Javier was aware of both ces. Amoura knew that if Presley moved in and was discovered, she wouldn’t be able to exin it.
Presley replied, “Alright then.”
Amoura promptly wrote a check and handed it to her. Presley then immediately provided the contact details of those who were keeping tabs on Milford.
In the afternoon, Amoura visited Milford’s residence. When Amoura had spoken with Presley, she had intentionally sent Raymond away. She had also made sure Raymond was not present when she went to Milford’s ce.
On his way back alone, Raymond contacted Bryan to ry everything he had witnessed.
“Have you discovered anything about Amoura’s real identity?” Bryan asked, his eyes darkening.
“No. Mrs. Dawson asked me to investigate what Amoura looked like before her cosmetic surgeries, but I was unable to do that,” Raymond said.
Although Raymond had severed ties with Eileen on the surface, he had continued to investigate matters she had once asked him to.
Bryan instructed, “Don’t just focus on her past appearance. Keep an eye on her current activities. I’m convinced she didn’t marry Javier without an agenda of her own.”

“Now that you mention it, I’ve noticed her making secretive phone calls away from Javier several times. Besides stirring trouble for the Dawson family, those ndestine calls are likely things Javier is unaware of.” Raymondmented the fact that Amoura had been exceedingly cautious when making these calls. He couldn’t overhear the conversations and had to remain concealed to avoid raising suspicion.
“Did you secure what I requestedst time?” Bryan asked. “Find an appropriate moment to ce it in Amoura’s bedroom. We’re sure to discover something.” The item in question was a miniature camera, undetectable by signal scanners and not connected to the inte, ensuring it would remain hidden.
The advantage of the hidden camera was that it couldn’t be detected. The downside? To see what juicy secrets it had captured, one had to physically retrieve it. Raymond had been itching to use this little piece of tech for ages, just waiting for the perfect moment to slip it into ce. But so far, he hadn’t found the right moment yet.
Seizing the opportunity toin, Raymond said, “When I was working for you, at least I got to move around. Now? I’m stuck standing all day. My legs are killing me.”
“Quitining,” Bryan interjected. “You’re getting paid double to stand around doing nothing. Think of it as a paid vacation. Once this Deleon family drama wraps up, you’ll have plenty to do.”
Raymond was momentarily speechless. The call soon ended. Raymond headed back to the Deleon family’s residence.
Now staying in a guest house on the property, Raymond was constantly under scrutiny. The moment he stepped out of his car and into the house, his face hardened, his movements bing stiff and robotic.
